Happy Monday!!!! Today I leave work early to do a first round of Christmas package mailing! I don’t have everything ready yet, but I had a magical realization that I can just mail some stuff! So it feels less overwhelming next weekend.

Ooooo, this is really hard! They’ve been in some really really good movies together with great songs! I think purely in terms of chemistry, “Tera Rastaa Chhodoon Na” from Chennai Express.

I agree with Angie, I think Love Mera Hit Hit was the first one that came to mind and I do like their songs in Happy New Year I think. I don’t really like Chennai Express, though the songs are fun.
I thought this new song was really out there! I thought the song was catchy and it is very much in the vein of YRF of the recent past like Bang Bang and War. Deepika looked very sexy but the directing and some of the choreography was bordering on vulgar (I really hope this is some kind of honey trap thing in the plot). I literally laughed out loud when I saw SRK shirtless. I just don’t think he’s sexy at all in this avatar with the long hair and dehydrated body! Casual sexiness preferably with a beard like in Dilwale or Chak De India or Dear Zindagi is the most attractive SRK for me. And then K3G era SRK after that.
I prefer the fun (and better production and dancing) of the Ranveer/Deepika song from Cirkus!

The song is catchy, I keep hearing it in my head, so that’s a good sign. But yes, dehydrated is how SRK looks. And old.

And you’re right – vulgar is the good word for Besharam Rang’s choreography. I must check who is the choreographer and the costume designer.

Um, the fire song – where she looks at him and everything starts lighting on fire in Happy New Year. It isn’t the song so much as the story in the song I like. And it isn’t the typical love song. I always take a shine to the atypicals.

Song-wise, Aankhon Mein Teri from Om Shanti Om without question. The lyrics and the melody are both so beautiful and it’s also really cute to see SRK being the one who’s starstruck.
But since it’s not a “number”, strictly speaking, and it never really had an official video for the full song I’ll agree with you on Tera Rastaa Chhodoon Na. I’m tempted to say India Waale because it’s so fun but that’s more of a group song.

Purely musically, I agree with Tera Rastaa Chhodoon Na. I was so enraptured by it the first time I heard it.
But whole package, song and video, I’m going with Manwa laage. They are so flirty and cute. When she’s in the orange and he sings to her. Gah. And the song is so good, vocals are on point, I can’t think of anything else coherent, I just love it.
