Sunday WatchAlong: Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na! Light, Happy, a Good Wake Up on the Day to Spring Forward! 7:30am Chicago Time (Don’t Forget the Time Change!)

Oh my, I forgot the time change. And then I remembered. And more importantly, my phone remembered, so I am actually awake.

Jaane Tu….Ya Jaane Na

Back when nepotism was exciting and not unfair, we were all super pumped about Aamir Khan’s nephew being launched. And he was cute! And funny! And super super charming!!! And the whole freakin’ movie was super super charming too. Watch it with me and be charmed. Oh, and it’s on Netflix.

At 7:30am Chicago time, I’ll put up an “And PLAY” comment here and we will start together and keep commenting!

  1. Also notice Aditi’s hair change through out the movie. Curly and care free in the beginning, straight when she’s with Sushant (which is so not her) because she is trying to be mature. And obviously you will see next!

      • It seemed like the director wanted to show her changed in some way, but it seems part of the point is that she doesn’t have to change. I actually LIKE the style – it just didn’t seem like her character to me, the same way the dark colors and straight hair weren’t her when she was trying to fit into Sushant.

      • They really are. Plus, his character is just so crush worthy in a the most healthy way. I would love for my child to find someone like Jai.

Also, if you haven’t seen MBKD, it is another fun movie with another really wonderful female lead that is fiesty with lots of agency!

        • We did that as a watch-a-long once! I do like that film. It was interesting though, Katrina is a better actress now. She really struggled trying to be the extroverted party girl in a group. She was great in the one on one scenes, but it was like you could see her trying to act in the first bus scene.

          • Matru Ka Bijli Ka Mandola is my favorite Imraan performance, but of course, No Subs. Ugh. He has a beard in it too!

          • Oh definitely! She has grown considerably as an actress. Actually, she probably has had the most growth (in terms of acting)out of any actress I have ever seen in recent times.
