Woot! BOOK CLUB!!! I picked Ponniyin Selvan because I’ve almost finished the first volume, it’s very fun, the movies are great, and it’s on topic for the blog. Oh, and the English translations are pretty readily available, at least digital copies (physical you may have to ship from far away).

The whole novel is in 5 parts and very long. But each individual part is pretty short! Each translation has slight differences, but if we read the whole book together, it will even out and be close enough.

I’m reading the newest translation, by Nandini Krishnan. But the older translation by Pavithra Srinivasan is pretty good too! And I’ll have to switch to the old one for the next volume anyway.
