Happy Saturday! My cousin is coming to visit me tonight, yaaaaaaay! So far I am washing sheets, I’ve installed the guest room a/c, and I made a nice light salad thing we can have for snacks. If I keep up this energy, I may even vacuum!

Btw I am going to India in September. Maybe 5 days in Mumbai followed by medical treatment for two weeks. Just booked my flights between USA and India – hoping to watch Jawaan with the fan club FDFS in Mumbai. 🤞🏽

Nerve racking. First time I’m going to India since I set boundaries and cut my family off and don’t have a “home” or relationships in India. I might be dropping in here for emotional support as I go through this 😇

Sonakshi and Zaheer? I didn’t know about them but I’m happy. It’s stupid because I know nothing about Zaheer really, only his name and two movies I have seen, but he looks cool and I wish them luck.
I don’t like Sara’s looks. The first one looks like she was wearing a swimsuit but lost the pants and had to cover herself with a bedsheet. The second is good for your best friend’s wedding in India but not for Cannes. The third dress is lovely but the make up is too dark and Sara doesn’t looks like Sara. It’s sad when I think she is from a very rich royal family, and could afford the best of the best, but ended wearing those 3 strange/boring outfits.

For some reason I have an idea in my head that Sara is not that wealthy. I mean I know that she isn’t poor, but compared to many of the other star of Indian movies I don’t see her family as “rolling in” money. Maybe because her fathers family had to, at least temporarily, sell their castle. Maybe because I’m not even sure how much of her father she saw growing up or how much money her mother got from him for support. Maybe it is because women are always paid less than men, especially in film and I see her mom as her main support. Or maybe it is because on Koffee with Karan her cheapskateness was part of the discussion.
If she could, I bet she got these outfits for free. Or at least based on her Koffee with Karan she wishes she got them for free.

I remember from another of Saif saying – when he got divorced and had to pay one lakh as alimony and child support at the time per month – he said Yes yes he is working hard and he will pay, he’s no shahrukh khan but he’s doing his best.
I guess it was a big amount but sometimes with family wealth they may have some assets but no cash flow?

That was my impression with the castle. They sold it with an arrangement to buy it back over time or something like that. So the one real family asset, they lost and were working in films for the salary to buy it back. I mean, still in the 1% for India, but compared to other people at Cannes, pretty low money.

Btw even Sonam Kapoor talked about how she borrows outfits for events that she’s not mad to spend the kind of money it takes to buy them. So pretty sure that would be others’ preference too
