Monday Morning Questions: What Do You Want to Ask Me As I Am Finally Recovered From a Cold? Also, Happy New Year!

Happy Monday! I spent the second half of last week with a cold, able to do a full day of work-work but with no energy for anything else. But I slept and slept and slept all weekend, and now I am perky and ready to blog again!

Happy New Year! I went to a friend’s family Rosh Hashanah dinner last night, and that food was goooooooooooooooood. Anyway, now it’s Monday and you get to ask me anything you want from “How long do you think Jawan will keep running?” to “Are you going to see Jawan again?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you think of new questions!

Now, question for you! It’s Shabanaji’s Birthday! What is your favorite Shabana performance?

Oh, there are so many good ones! I think I’m gonna go Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Lmtd. It’s an unexpected and lovely story.

  3. I’ve come to appreciate Shabana’s range over the years, but for me, no actual performance is ever going to outstrip the sheer fact that she did “Fire” way back when people still went really mad about it. Plus, it helps that in my head-canon, she did it at least partly for Zoya.

  6. I read Sharmila and I was seriously confused while also angry. However with Shabana, my most favourite(rather fondest) performance of hers is in ‘Its a wonderful afterlife’ where she is a serial killer who murders anyone who insults her daughter. Its terribly funny while also somewhat sad and I remember devouring the movie numerous times when I was younger.
