I am possibly, maybe, beginning to overdose on Shahrukh love. Not totally, but I am at least ready to try making fun of him a little. In a loving way.
(In no particular order, just numbered so I can keep track of them)
17. As always when I post these videos, WARNING: YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH KANAN GILL
16. This is very clever, but doesn’t actually make me fall in love with anyone.
15. Of course the time when Shahrukh went along making fun of himself.

14. And another time.
13. And possibly my favorite time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEx2bL3_5Z8
12. The slightly sweeter version.
11. Ooo! Here’s a topical one! Shahrukh making fun of himself and Arnab Goswami, the interview from the Hrithik interview.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvydCWM9k0w&t=134s
10. I already did one Om Shanti Om bit, but there is still more!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmVXYLSK6gQ
9. Of course, he always gets made fun of at FilmFare.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqoLE03vV8c
8. And he makes fun of himself again!
7. Superwoman! LOVE HER!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgNUfLb21tA
6. Superwoman again! Partly just making fun of Hindi film as a whole, but Shahrukh is there a little too.
5. An older song which namechecks SRK in the title!
4. Okay, this one I can’t decide if I like or not.
3. Still can’t decide!
2. Here’s a nice one where he is kind of making fun of himself a little, very low key.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8T1ChHCbuk
1. And finally, Shahrukh making fun of himself, very high key!
Kanan Gill? What about Biswa Kalyan Rath? He’s my favorite.

No, it’s all about Kanan Gill! And now you can see bits of his stand up on his youtube channel too.

Numbers 12, 13, and 14 were the best things to come out of the Dilwale collaboration, except a couple of the songs/videos. I was inordinately happy in #13 at around 8 mins when Shah Rukh says he and Juhi Chawla were “always so cute” together. Heeee!

It’s a pity that far too often I don’t get the jokes when there are no subtitles. I like satirizing if it’s in a way that is not meant to hurt and the most I like if people can laugh about themselves or can be self-mocking.
My favourite is 13 and – like procrastinatrix – I liked 12 and 14, too, as an outcome of the Rohit Shetty collaboration (also the jokes on set of ChennaiExpress).
Kanan and Biswa, Superwoman, SnG comedy, The Viral Fever are among my favourite humouristic YouTube channels.
I like when ShahRukh is spoofing himself in his movies.
Thanks for all the smiles, Margaret 🙂

I feel like he spoofs himself a lot in his films, but when I sat down and tried to think of examples, they are all little half second lines or moments. Which is really the best way, no good for this particular post, but better for keeping the flow of the film in play.
