Okay, here is your well-nigh impossible challenge: You can only adopt two animals, either one kitten and one puppy or two kittens or two puppies.

Easy for me, because I don’t like cats. I’m taking the Kal Ho Na Ho sweater puppy (so tiny!!!)

And the bow tie puppy, because SO MUCH PERSONALITY!!!

And of course there’s the puppy I actually adopted!

Tempted by Dilwale puppy because aw poor thing. I’ve only had cats and I adopt them slightly older so I can see their personality. On that theory, sleeping JHMS cat looks very chill and snuggly. Bitey JHMS kitten, though, has coloring like my current cat, who is great, and a lot of spark. Or maybe Zero kitten because adorable and I have a soft spot for B&W, they tend to be smart and a bit quirky. (This is why I have strict limits on pets, could easily turn into cat lady.)

I’m a dog person so my take-homes would be the Dilwale pup and Chalte Chalte pup, both for super cuteness.
I also have selections for ‘Best Captures the Spirit of the Original’ – pose, mood, props. It’s a 4-way tie for kittens – Deewana, OSO, Devdas and JHMS #2 (though seriously, could have been any of them), The puppies – again DIlwale, puppy drips with Raj’s sodden sadness and KANK for spot-on ball work.
