Daily Hrithik Shipping Post: What Other Films Has He Had Chemistry With His Co-Stars?

Sorry Tiger, I’m dropping you. Ultimately you just aren’t that interesting. But let us take a look back at Hrithik without Tiger and with someone else. What other films has he managed to create similar chemistry with his co-stars?

Here’s the challenge! For every song shown here, determine if it is equal chemistry to Hrithik+Tiger, more chemistry, or less chemistry. A challenge!

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this one is more. The romance had more time to build, and they are actually having sex right now instead of just eye-banging.

This one, equal. Aish is so good at dancing, and Hrithik is so good at watching her dance. But they don’t have the same “I must have you now” feel that Tiger-Hrithik convey. “Crazy Kiye Re”

This is my favorite Hrithik song, and I love how joyful he is dancing for Kat, and how happy she is watching. They don’t have the sexual tension he has with Tiger, but there is more joy there. I’m gonna say equal. “Tu Meri”

Hrithik’s first big hit. Great song, no chemistry with his co-star. Less than. “Ek Pal Ke Jeena”

Hrithik, Sonam, and Wig in a threesome set to a Yo Yo Honey Sing remix. Definitely less than for me. “Dheere Dheere”

Hrithik and Kareena. I still think they are super good together, plus they actually have sex, or at least all-but-penetration sex. So, greater than Tiger. “O Ajnabi”

Hrithik and Priyanka. Way way less chemistry than Hrithik and Tiger. Like, it’s not even close. On the other hand, Hrithik and Hrithik? Maybe equal “God Allah Aur Bhagwan”

And finally, Hrithik and Kangana. It’s powerful, but also sooooo disturbing. I’m gonna say “less than”. “Dil Tu Hai”

Okay, what are your votes? And which love interests did I miss?

Oh wait! One more! Hrithik and SRK. I think equal to Hrithik-Tiger, don’t you?

  1. Jodha Akbar was so different. I wouldn’t say more chemistry but they were married and had a slow, long burn before consummation. War was that crazy explosive love at first sight omg I feel like I’m dying every time I look at his beautiful face. For me, equal because they are so different.

It’s tragic that Hrithik is more interesting than Tiger 😭

    • See, this is why I wouldn’t be heartbroken if someone else is cast opposite him in a potential sequel! Give him someone like Rajkummar, or Sushant Singh Rajput, or Vidyut Jamwal as his new love interest. Hrithik isn’t the most interesting man in the world, but Tiger is really REALLY not interesting.

  2. I think nothing has ever topped his otherworldly chemistry with Aishwarya in all three of their films. I would love to see another Kareena pairing because, I agree, they are so hot together. I think he and Priyanka in parts of Agneepath (the deleted song) have good chemistry, but in everything else they are just not good. I think he and Katrina have a really boring hot people chemistry that does nothing for me. He and Jacqueline had better chemistry of that type in that commercial though…I’d like to see them in a sexy Mr. and Mrs. Smith remake. I’ll always like his chemistry with Rani in MDK the best though. It’s quite adult at times!

Still, I don’t think I’ve seen a perfectly sexy love scene with him (he’s too mannered and/or just not natural enough to pull off a genuinely sexy moment that doesn’t rely on his appearance.

    • I really want to see him and Kareena come together today. Their earlier chemistry felt so young, and fresh and innocent. I wonder if coming together now, when both of them have aged into far more mature screen presences, would bring their youthful blush of romance into a mature sexual chemistry?

  3. Kriish series was too family friendly. For Hrithik / Priyanka chemistry try Agneepath This version of the song was cut from film version for plagiarism, but maybe the censors would have had a problem with it anyway.

    • I do like that song, and it’s weird that it was cut because the film doesn’t even quite make sense without it. We go straight from a kind of unclear conversation to a wedding, very odd.

  4. My sister and I went back to watch War and took our husbands and our dad with us. I think it was even better the second time around. Also, I caught a few more moments of intense gazing that I had not caught the first time and that made me so happy.

Okay, in terms chemistry, of course Hrithik and Aish in Jodha Akbar is off the charts. But I also love, love, love crazy anguished Hrithik’s chemistry with Rani in MDK and Kareena in Yadeein. Yaddein, to me, falls into the “it’s so bad, that I am embarrased to tell people I secretly like it” movie. But I have definitiely rewatched it so many times for the Hrithik and Kareena chemistry.

Other that that,in K3G, I love Hrithik’s chemistry with SRK, but also Hrithik’s chemistry with Farida Jalal is sooo good!

    • Yaaaay! I get to see War tonight with my friend and I am worried I oversold it, so you are reassuring me. She both loves Bang Bang to an unreasonable degree (and if I am saying it is unreasonable, you know it is really REALLY unreasonable) and is a sucker for male-male love stories. Should be a guaranteed winner, right?

I’ve got to rewatch Yaadein. I’ve seen it at least 5 times and I STILL can’t fully figure out the plot. I get the part where Jackie is widowed with three daughters, but everything after that just feels like a fever dream. Also, why did Hrithik let moths eat all his shirts?

Cheeni Kum remake with Farida and Hrithik?

      • Very good point about the moths. Also, why was Kareena wearing a pink foofy princess with dress and
a leather neck collar? Why is Kiran Rathod’s wig essentially the dreaded bowl cut every Indian child had growing up? Chamakti Shaam Hai might win the worst costumes ever contest, if there was ever one.

I think Dimple, Raveena, Rekha, Neena Gupta, or even Ratna Pathak and Hrithik in Cheeni Kum. I love Farida but I want an older, sexy women in that role.

        • Oooo! Neena Gupta! YES! Or Rekha, mostly for the dancing.

In a larger sense, what WAS that song? Was that Hrithik’s parents’ anniversary? Or his engagement party? Why was Kareena there? How did Hrithik know Kareena/Jackie? Who are all these people and what are they doing in each other’s lives? And most of all, when are we in London and when are we in India and when are we somewhere else??? I CAN NEVER TELL!!!!

          • All good points. The movie is completely nonsensical. And there are terrible, archaic messages in it. But it has crazy Hrithik. So, every time I watch it, I can’t help thinking “I can’t quit you.”

          • Hrithik needs more crazy in his performances. I know it is mostly just bad acting trying to be good, but so entertaining!

          • Agreed. It is decidedly cartoonish. Yet, it is done with so much sincerity by Hrithik that it is easy to get swept away by a fantasy but never confuse it for reality. In most of his films (at least the good ones that play on his strengths) he is the quintessential hero for those that want to see escapist cinema. No one believes this is real besides Hrithik, which is perfect.

  5. Hrithik and Amisha had really good chemistry, esp when he was playing Rohit in that film. It’s what made the story interesting. They need another film.
