Rani Week: Best Rani Songs With Salman, Ranked! (I Defy You to Watch the Top Song and Not Fall A Little Bit in Love With Them)

I can’t really think of a time that Rani and Salman were “sexy” together, but they have had a lot of really great dance numbers! Especially the last song on this list, you can skip the rest, but give yourself the joy of watching that one.

Gonna shake things up a little and go worst to best this time!

This one is the worst, and (as you can see) it’s still pretty great! I just don’t like all Salman’s whistling, and his pink pants, blech. “Chandi Ki Daal” Hello Brother

This one is really good for the Rani parts (and super catchy song), but it was during Salman’s hat period, and no one needs that. “Kahin Pyaar No Ho Jaye”

Nothing particularly wrong with this song, it’s just not as spectacular as their best ones. “Teri Chunariya” Hello Brother

This is a cute little love song, love Rani in glasses, but Salman doesn’t have the same spart he had when they were younger. “Keh Raha Hai” Baabul

Decent big dance number, but Rani and Hema have more spark to me than Rani and Salman “Gaa Re Mann” Baabul

Top three! All really good. The situation for this song is insane (going on a holiday with their surrogate before Salman gets her pregnant the old-fashioned way), but look how cute and happy and in love Rani and Salman are! “Chori Chori Chupke Chupke”

Finally, my personal top two! “O Priya O Priya” from Kahin Pyaar No Ho Jaaye, it’s just so charming and sweet and they are both at their charming sweet to the camera best.

And Number 1! I defy you not to like this song, it is so peppy and wonderful, and Rani and Salman are so perfectly matched and flirtatious and sexy. I would say it is not only the best Salman-Rani song, it is the best “falling in love at first sight through a wedding song” song “No. 1 Punjabi”

  1. I’m surprised you included two songs from Baabul and completely ignored Baawri Piya Ki, which is considered to be one of Salman’s hottest and sexiest songs, not just with Rani, but with anyone. But if you wanted to maintain that they don’t have sexy songs together, I guess it makes sense.

Anyway, you can judge for yourself:

    • Thank you! I remembered a sex song in that movie and I could not find it, so I finally thought I must have just imagined it.

  2. I think Moimeme’s song does win for the sexiest, though #1Punjabi is fun. But what is up with the hats in Kahin Pyaar No Ho Jaye? Did he wear hats through the whole movie? Was he worried about hair loss and hadn’t gotten plugs yet?

    • Based on the other songs I have seen, he only wore a hat during that one song in Kahin. He did the same with Hum Saath Saath Hain, normal hair except for one song. Maybe the song was filmed later in the schedule? Or something about running through the fields made him nervous for his wig? Or it could be that it was while he was filming Tere Naam, a role for which he shaved his head?

        • Now that I think of it, this is probably also why stars have such distinctive but consistent styling. Shahrukh had basically the same hair for the first 15 years of his career, he could film a movie over 2 years, while filming 3 other films, and have no continuity issues.

  3. I don’t remember any of these songs other than Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. Did they just have really obscure songs together?
On another note, Hello Brother is so bad that it’s good. I had so much fun watching that movie.
