I think this is the general DCIB favorite hero type. We do like our sweet men. Well, you like your sweet men, I am more of an Alpha person in my fantasies. But in the right situation, I can see the appeal of a nice Beta.
There are way too many “Beta” heroes to list out all of them, but we can trade tips on who are our favorites and recommend them to each other. You know, the heroes you just want to shake and say “Stand up for yourself! Tell her how you feel and what you want! Be a MAN!” Or maybe that’s just me.
Just to get us started, I will suggest a few. Sid M. in Hasee To Phasee:

Shahrukh in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Vijay in 96

Okay, who are your favorite little teddy bear men? And you can also feel free to sell me on the value of the Beta fantasy, but I am pretty stuck on my Alpha.
LOL Beta heroes are the reason I watch Indian movies.
My fav:
Vijay in 96, Prithviraj in Koode, Unni Mukundan in Style, Unni Mukundan in Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya, Mammootty in Kandukondain Kandukondain, maybe Tovino in Godha

I hadn’t thought about Mammootty in Kandukondain Kandukondain, and you are so right! He postures like he is an Alpha, but underneath all that he is a sweet little Beta.

Kamal Hassan in Pushpak. BTW, when I read the title, I assumed Hindi Beta (son). Have you seen Anil Kapoor’s Beta movie.

Is it possible to love not the beta as a person, but the scenes when an Alpha acts like a Beta? I definitely was a Beta lover on your quiz, but the exception of Sid in HTP I’m not usually attracted to full Beta characters.

YES! I think this is totally related to my sex and power post! When a natural Alpha chooses to give up power and become a Beta, it is both sexy and romantic.

mmm if we look at Malayalam films- I think Kunchacko plays a lot of these softer male characters . I think Rohit in Kal Ho Na Ho falls into this category. Maybe Farhan’s character in Dil Dhadakne Do ?

Yes to all of these! Especially Kunchacko, I love his later career as the soft sweet supporting actor.
