Potential reading of the film: Zayed’s lack of a father figure obviously made him a rebel and so on, obvious problems. But Shahrukh’s lack of a mother figure damaged him in a more subtle way, thus his inability to handle his feelings for Sush in any reasonable way, and his difficulty making connectiosn with the younger kids.

With great difficulty! Baby Aryan and Suhana were on set during filming (I think it might have been Shahrukh’s birthday?) and wanted to play with the birds, and the birds were just not doing anything anyone wanted.
