Yaaaaaay, a Shahrukh movie!!!!! Genevieve’s pick, so thank her for your happiness.
Main Hoon Na! Available basically everywhere, including on DVD, at 3pm Chicago time just hit “play” and start commenting along.
Also, warning, I have listened to the DVD director’s commentary many MANY times, so I will have many comments that start “Farah says”.
Watch close, Tabu cameo!

I thought it looked like her in the background!

Yep, she just was in the area and stopped by set to say “Hi” to everyone, and Farah stuck her in a shot

Gahh. I missed it. When was it?

How is Shahrukh sexier when “bad dancing” than when “good dancing”?

A lot of his bad dancing moves weren’t really so bad…

The band are played by Farah’s assistant directors, they had great fun and came up with their own cool musician moves.

Question: On purpose or coincidence that Shahrukh has a song for “Gauri”? I can’t decide!
Oh, or is he singing about me?
LikeLike
He is singing about you of course.

Okay, that makes sense then

See, this is what redeems the Mrs. Kakkar character for me! Everyone runs from her, until she turns on her true sexy, and then she has them hypnotised

Never picked up that until watching this with you now. Thanks.

My dad still says that he used to convince so many of his college friends to come see movies with him by telling them that there is a “Bindu” song on it.

I have to say, of the Zayed-Boman-Shahrukh threesome, Shahrukh may actually be the best dancer! For once, he is the best!

Sexy or funny or both with the sari? Is it too explicit to be sexy and crosses over to funny?

I’m gonna go funny.

Sorry about the sari, Maam. – Could be my favorite line of the film.

So, sexy? Not funny?

Funny, but the way SRK says it is kinda sexy. But shooting her between the knees wasn’t sexy.

This is Sush’s actual lounge wear. They couldn’t find a costume, so she said “Oh, I’ll just wear something from my vanity van” and came out in this. I love this woman.

Teacher’s Day scene, sexy or funny?

Day scene, you mean on the steps?

No, the one in her bedroom when she is blowing on his scraps

Both. The 11 year old thought it was weird.

Zayed, did he even take an acting class?

Zayed in this scene is….not good

I had forgotten that there was more than one scene where his acting abilities really sucked.

Anyone else starting personally hating Suniel Shetty’s character here or is that just me?

YES! I didn’t until he told SRK’s “family” who he was. But I still think he is gorgeous.

Couldn’t SRK have done some acting coaching with Zayed?
LikeLike
He was busy producing the whole thing, I guess he didn’t have time. And Farah is not good at getting sincere performances from her actors. Entertaining, yes, but not sincere.

I just told the kids that SRK always saves the day and the 11 year old says that is what is wrong with Indian films, they never loose. Even Marvel looses some times. He is on an anti-Indian film kick, while he sits here and watches 3 hours of an Indian film…

2nd sexy knee slide of the film.

John Woo doves! Farah wanted them as an homage, but the bird vender must have drugged them or something so they wouldn’t fly. They ended up just having ADs drop them from the rafters so they kind of fluttered on their way down.

Zayed’s brother line also sucked. Sigh, third time he’s hurt the film…

They used regular locals for the border scene, and it was horrible, they kept smiling and looking at the camera instead of looking touching and miserable and oppressed
