Are we the only ones who do Labor Day in September? So stupid! Like we will suddenly be communist if we do it on May 1 like everyone else in the world. Anyway, I have a day off work, yaaaaaaaaay!
Here is where you get to ask me anything! From, “Which actor’s birthday is it today?” to “what streaming movie will you be watching next?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you think of new questions!
Now, I have a question for you! If you had a magical extra day off work, and off all other responsibilities (kids and family disappeared from you, house was completely clean, etc.), what would you do with it?
I’m spoiled, I mostly have that day today. My parents do all the cooking and dishes washing, we just cleaned yesterday for friends coming up for a socially distanced visit, I don’t have to work today, and my parents are driving off to visit friends, so I will be all alone in the house. I am going to sit on the porch with my stack of 6 books and just read.
But just to add on to that, if I were in the city I would walk to a movie theater (always more fun when you walk) and watching as many movies in a row as I could manage.
And if I were in the city and the weather were bad, I would pull out some old sewing projects and turn on some BBC mystery show on TV to keep me company and sew start to finish without stopping until I was done.
How about you? Magical bonus day when you could be alone and do whatever you want?
I would sit in my big comfy chair and watch movies or British shows. Question: have you watch Masaba Masaba and are you going to ? I did and would love to discuss it.
Next question: I’ve lost my bell that tells me someone has responded to a comment. It was CRUCIAL to my participation because I am not active on all topics and sometimes i go back to old ones. This happened before and it was fixed. I’m not sure how and whether it was by you. I certainly don’t know how to do it. thanks,M

And I had to approve this comment! Which means I think you are logged out of WP again, and need to log back in, and then life might be easier.
I have not watched Masaba Masaba since I’ve been at the lake house since it released, but I am building up a list of things to watch once I am back home in my cozy apartment and the weather starts to get seriously cooler. Definitely Masaba Masaba, and the new Telugu film V also.

Oh, and your big comfy chair plan sounds delightful! I don’t have a big comfy chair, just a little comfy chair, and it’s not the same. This winter if I am going to be spending a lot of time sitting at home streaming things (as seems likely), I am going to have to figure out the perfect pillow arrangement to turn my love seat into a Big Comfy Chair.

Watched all of Masaba and realized there is much I need to be filled in on. Gossip, and such.

I dislike the lack of options I have during half-lockdown. Normally, I’d go shopping, but now, I’d probably watch movies, and sit in the sun and read.

I’ve mentally adjusted to lockdown life, so when you said “shopping” I thought “ooo, yes! Going to a grocery store, picking out frozen meals that will last a long time, and two weeks worth of everything, such fun! Can’t wait to do it again!”

Honestly, I don’t go to the big supermarkets anymore so really, that would be exciting.

I got a Costco membership last summer and going there is always an adventure! Plus not scary right now, neatly organized and massive with loads of air flow. Oh Costco! I may have to go there next weekend just for a treat

I want three days, and I would go backpacking. But as it is, I am letting my children watch TV and I am doing laundry and watching Ohm Shanthi Oshaana. There is too much smoke in the air to go outside; my kids are thrilled.

Put on noise canceling headphones, and it’s almost like they aren’t there!

California? My children miss the smell of SoCal, even when we were the ones who had to evacuate.

MidCal – Eastside. BUT now the smoke is EVERYWHERE in CA! The pictures coming out of the Bay Area were amazing this week.

How many movies/how long was Katrina dubbed?

I think just her first 2 or 3 movies. But it goes back and forth, sometimes just part of her dialogue was dubbed if it was too difficult. She learned Hindi pretty quickly, just can’t seem to lose the accent. Fair enough, some people just can’t lose accents somehow.
