Friday/Saturday WatchAlong! Bang Bang! 7:30am Chicago Time

I am SO HAPPY! I have been looking forward to watching this movie with y’all since the WatchAlongs started, and doing it early on a Saturday morning makes it feel extra special.

You can watch it on youtube, on einthusan, on your DVD, just not on any legitimate streaming sources. At 7:30am I will post a “PLAY!” comment down below and then we can just keep commenting along the whole time. And yes, you are allowed to comment simply “this makes me so happy!”

  1. Oh oh! I found an article about the Dadi actress! She is everything I wanted her to be. Worked for the Railways and did theater in her spare time, even had some roles on TV serials. But then her husband died and she had to focus on raising her daughters. In her 70s, she got her first movie part as a Grandma and then her career just took off. Also, everyone is always very nice on sets, she suffers from arthritis of the foot so they are always very nic eand write in scenes with her characters sitting down.

  2. What I love about government offices in movies is how every single angle and shot has to review a different patriotic chotchky. Asoka tower, flag, Gandhi photo.

  3. I tried internet dating! I went on three or four dates and realized I preferred spending time with people who I already know I like. So I started hanging out more with my other friend who had just moved back to town, and then we got married.

  4. My sister and I have a headcanon that Vickie got updates via text for part of the ‘date’ — Your Date Has Arrived! Your Date Has Ordered Wine! Your Date Has Ordered 2 Meals! — and it won’t let him text back, so he’s yelling at his phone “No, don’t order wine! No, don’t order two meals!” while getting more and more late.

  5. Also re the dance number: I have a belief that you will not sway me from, all of them are Kat’s daydream/fantasy while something much more normal goes on. yes, they go dancing but it isn’t like….that….but good luck telling her that!!

  6. So after Jodha Akbar when I watched it I had to learn everything about Hrithik and everything kept being “he’s a dancer! He’s such a great dancer!” and I was like…not..in JA thought….and then I saw this movie and was like “….OH”

  7. See, she was wearing this really fun, flirty dress out to the date but then got embarrassed and covered up with a cardigan. She was just waiting to be pulled up on stage with lights and wind machines to show her true self.

  8. Is anyone else getting subtitles that write “heart” as “hear-t” consistently, or is that just the Youtube version? It’s very odd.

    • I don’t know, I’ve got the DVD and the subtitles on the song are….not really how I’d choose to translate them, but I don’t think they have that.
