Happy Saturday! Grandpa turns 100 today! Open house at The Home this afternoon. This morning I am hanging out with my cousin and her boyfriend. So, a lovely day over all.

Grandpa is 100! If I say “1921”, what is your reference? I’m just curious, for me I think of it as the year Skeezix was introduced in Gasoline Alley, the beginning of the big 20s movie boom, and the year Coolidge was elected.

You have been conspicuously quiet about Thalaivi release this week. I think it will release on Netflix later this month…but I am curious if you know of any behind-the-scenes drama? Who did Kangana fight with this time? Did she really release a movie without any controversy?

I have decided life is too short, and I just ignored the whole thing. But I think other DCIBers would have kept me informed if there was a big Thing and apparently there wasn’t. At least, not a public Thing. to my mind, just agreeing to be the lead in a movie about Jayalithaa is plenty disruptive and aggressive on it’s own, she doesn’t have to add to it with statements.

Happy Birthday to your granpa! In Poland we say “Sto Lat”, when we wish someone on his birthday. It literally means “100 years” but your granpa is already that old so I’ll wish him 200 years 🙂

He’s doing so great, I’m so proud of him, thank you. He’ll keep asking “where is [baby]”, smile at her and bump noses. Okay, he’s also give her one hurtful headbutt so far, but things like that are bound to happen.
Yeah, he’ll ask for her to stay on her blanket so he doesn’t have to share my lap. But he appears to have fully accepted that we are now a family of four. The cutest thing he asked the other day: “Where did my friend’s little sister live before she came to stay with them?”

AWWW!!! That is just adorable!!! My friend’s daughter just asked for a cardboard box so she could ship her little sister away, which hilarious but also a glimse into her mind. So in comparison, your son is adjusting sooo well! Hope you and your wife are getting some sleep and taking care of yourselves.

Thank you. I do need to do something about sleep today, but compared to having a newborn breastfed baby, we’re practically sleeping in.

Or, SRK produced series in which he does a cameo. Also, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ME!!!! Do you remember a few months back Shahrukh did a tweet acknowledging Loki and Tom Hiddleston, and I said “does this mean he is working on something with Disney?” And I was RIGHT!

Happy belated birthday to your Grandpa! I hope he had a blast celebrating with his loved ones. Here is a random 1921 reference that I thought of: it was the year that Gandhi decided he would no longer wear formal, expensive attire and transitioned to wearing dhoti and a shawl to show solidarity with the poor. It became his signature outfit for the rest of his life.
