Monday Morning Questions: What Do You Want to Ask Me on Anupam Kher’s Birthday?

Happy Monday! Or, you know, “continuing to struggle” Monday. Sorry, I’m cutting down on my screentime so I am being less blog-active than I should be. But on the other hand, Albie Dog and I walked 6 miles and found a whole new park, and I finished a puzzle!

Here is where you get to ask me anything you want from “what was the puzzle?” to “what was the park?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you think of new questions!

Now, question for you! In honor of Anupam’s birthday, do you prefer him as a villain or as a father?

This is complicated for me! Because I prefer him as a villain, but mostly BECAUSE of his father roles! He brings this great unthreatening dopey dad vibe to the screen so you don’t think he is evil and then BLAM! He is!

  1. I prefer Anupama Chopra as a villain as he can be legitmatley terrifying. However my favourite role of his is probably in Lamhe as hes so great as the best friend.

Question for you: If you were a director what kind of film would you make?

    • I would be a TERRIBLE director. But if I were a scriptwriter, I would write a mature love story. Because it’s a gap no one else is filling and I think it would be fun.

  2. Maaran trailer dropped ages ago. The pen is mightier than the sword indeed. I love the brother and sister dynamic. Already has me sold on that, the songs and the investigative journalist part.

    The brother and sister song:

    • Pen fight scenes! 😄 This feels like wish fulfillment, right? The righteous investigative journalist. Dhanush looks cool, though, and agree the sibling relationship looks fun. “I like you, but I like your sister more” is a great hook.

    • Interesting, a female centered action movie. This is what I’ve been wanting for Kat, wouldn’t have thought if Alia. Did you see The Old Guard by the same writer and producers? I thought it was OK but kind of small scale and more of a downer than I was expecting.

  3. My favorite Anupam is like in Daawat e Ishq or Special 26 where he has to pretend to be someone else so you get two Anupams for your money.
