Sunday WatchAlong: Tezaab! 11am Chicago Time!

Oh boy! This is such an insane movie! And, it’s an excuse for me to stay inside with the nice a/c while it is muggy and yucky outside.

Tezaab! Madhuri’s big break film, crazy plot, great songs, big hair, everything good. I will be watching with my DVD, old school. You can watch on youtube or einthusan or where ever.

At 11am Chicago time, I will put up an “and PLAY” comment and then we will all comment along from there!

    • Except for the mint green dress with the old lady neck – that should NOT be part of a fantasy – nor the 3/4 sleeve yellow polo on Anil.

  1. Margaret- I was looking up the cast of Tezaab and it said Salman Khan plays someone named Rookki in it. Salman isn’t in this movie right???

      • That’s what I was thinking. Although Salman might have also been open to doing weird stuff since this was even before Biwi Ho to Aisi. I am now curious if I can see him in here.

  2. I’ve decided the background music was deemed more important than dialogue by the director, because sometimes I can hardly hear the actors speaking. Or perhaps the youtube sound is messed up.

  4. Not surprising, Chunky has the best song of the movie. And I like to think they are trying to be good wingmen and convince Anil to just get over himself and get back with Madhuri.

  5. Okay, you know how this movie is a remake of Streets of Fire and then was remade as Varsham in Telugu, and then Varsham was remade back to Hindi as Baaghi? In every version except Baaghi (where they ended after she is rescued), this Travel Song is the best song in the movie. Don’t know why, but it always is.

  6. I just did this little exercie where I tried to come up with flash back images of Spouse like they do in the movies with Madhuri & Anil, and I realized coming up with pictures of him in my mind is hard, but I can do it. His goofy teeth before they got fixed in college. His little sould patch when I got back from Europe, him teaching the kids how to fish. But I have NO IMAGES from our actual marriage. I guess I was too busy to notice him that day.

  7. I like that he gives the money to his friends. They should have money! They did a lot for him, it’s worth more than the noble gesture of rejecting the cash.
