Sunday WatchAlong: Nagina! For Sridevi! 8am Chicago Time Start

Happy Sunday! I am progressing along with my massive difficult sewing project that I forgot I promised to have done by September 1, so I have earned a nice break watching Sridevi.

Nagina! It’s on Prime, it’s only 2 hours and 17 minutes, and do try to watch it on Prime because the length probably varies on different services.

At 8am I will put up an “and PLAY” comment and then we will all comment along from there!

  1. His mother sent him away for 10 years, he roams with a girl one night, and she arrainges his marriage without talking to him. Is she so far removed from her U.S. grandma character?

  2. This piece of paper with property is important because without it Rishi will be poor? I may have blinked and missed something.

  3. A promise is more important than my life – so then will ma die!!! Yes. She should die. Then everyone will be happy, and Rishi will be poor, and I feel the lad could use a bit of poverty.

  4. This is kind of sweet, Prem Chopra is all loving and supportive of his daughter. Unlike horrible Ma who doesn’t want her son to be happy.

  5. I am constantly amazed by the lack of stuff in movie houses. My own house is cluttered with books and toys and musical instruments and more books, and the walls are covered in photos. These palaces have a wardrobe, a chair, a desk. All is plain on the screen, but so plain that I think there is some truth to it. The Indian wealthy don’t have stuff.

    • Based on my minimal experience, there’s a lot of focus on stuff that can be cleaned with water easily because it’s such a dusty buggy place, and everything is always open to the elements.

    • Perhaps they felt they HAD to attend as Rishi was the prince and they actually would have prefferred more than a couple hours notice.

  6. I’m explaining to spouse that the snake goddess is marrying the useless prince but a religious dude will come and ruin everything even though sure the snake goddess is a good thing? I mean the snakes are protecting everyone.

  7. So far, I have agreed with Prem Chopra’s decisions except for when he tried to kill Sridevi. Why should he give Rishi back the property he built up? Why shouldn’t he feel sad on behalf of his daughter?

  8. Little prince boy can beat people up, and recognize wanna-be-father-in-law in a bseball cap? He is more skilled than I thought!
