Sunday WatchAlong: Who’s In???? And Should We Watch Bholaa, or Fidaa, or Doosara Aadmi?

Happy Thursday! I’m staying on the WatchAlong train! I just enjoy hanging out with y’all so much. And this week, I offer you a great variety of viewing options!

Bholaa

Seems like half of y’all have seen it already and raved, so now I want to watch it! But only if you are willing to re-watch it with me. On Prime.

Fidaa

Such a good movie! Such a good good movie! Delightful rom-com with a delightful heroine and only slightly irritating misunderstanding plot. On Netflix.

Doosara Aadmi

It’s Neetu Singh’s birthday! And this is one of her really good roles. It’s a 1970s relationship drama with Neetu playing the sweet young wife and Raakhee playing the Older Woman and Rishi playing the confused husband. On Prime.

  1. I love Neetu but I just can’t watch Doosra Aadmi again. Any interest in Dharam Veer? It is on YouTube Shemaroo with subtitles. It campy with Dharmendra in very short skorts, Jeetendra in very large diamond earrings and other jewelry, and of course Neetu Singh!

      • Fair point. It is a VERY POPKA movie and she should be present for it!!! I’ll try to think of another one. Neetu has so many fun movies.

        • Okay. New suggestions:

Neetu Sign – Waqt Ki Deewar is another dual hero movie with Jeetendra, Sanjeev Kumar, and Neetu Singh. I have never seen it but I looked up the plot on Wiki and it looks like the 80s masala ridiculousness and it is directed by Raveena Tandon’s dad. Did you know her dad was a director? I didn’t!
It is available on Prime for $1.99.

Other potential non Neetu movie – anyone interested in watching PS-1 or PS-2? I was waiting for both movies to hit Prime so I could watch them together. If there is enough interest, this might be worth watching together so we can help each other stay abreast of what is going on. I think you mentioned in your review that it gets a bit confusing with the characters.

          • I so want to watch PS 1 with y’all! But I didn’t suggest it because I thought it would bore you.

          • I really want to watch it! You and Kirre have both raved about it. I am definitely interested. Let’s see if there is enough interest from the others.

I just watched Bholaa twice (by myself and with the husband). And I also just watched Fidaa when you suggested it last time. Hence my other suggestions.

          • Hey, if you can commit to watching all of PS 1 (over two hours) on Sunday morning, I will ABSOLUTELY watch it with you even if no one else is intereted.

          • I can commit to the whole movie if we can do 7:00 am CT Sunday. Not sure if that is too early.

          • I second PS1. I wanted to rewatch it before getting to PS2 but haven’t managed it yet. Another suggestion is Bhediya – with Varun and Kriti and werewolves. It’s a perfect watchalong movie, fun and also genuinely something that’s not been attempted before in Indian movies, IMO.

    • No idea if I’ll be able to make it, but for a Neetu movie, may I suggest Parvarish? Neetu and Shabana play sisters who are thieves. Amitabh and Vinod are brothers and Shammi is their dad and the sisters manage to steal from every family member including their mother. It’s a lot of fun!
