Happy Tuesday! It’s a week and one day since I last posted! I went on vacation and did NOTHING very aggressively. I went to a different coffee shop every morning and read my book for over an hour, then wandered around until I found a place to eat lunch, then wandered some more until I found a place to sit and finish my book, then went back to my hotel room to start a new book. 4 books in 4 days! The perfect break. Oh, and also a pedicure, a massage, acupuncture, and a Psychic reading, just for fun. And I bought hair dye and used the hotel shower to re-dye my hair. So you can see, I was very very busy with no time for blogging.
First, new song from Crew! Thank you Naina for the update! It’s a little sexual and stuff, but I’m gonna assume that doesn’t mean anything about the film itself because it’s a Badshah promo song, those are usually sexual and unrelated to the actual film. Not that sexy is bad, just that I am hoping/assuming the female characters will be MORE than just sexy.
Second, Ambani wedding celebrations have gifted ups 3 dancing Khans! Weirdly, I think Aamir is doing the best dancing out of the 3 of them? I think Salman is the best natural dancer, but his back issues etc. mean he can’t really move well. And SRK is just off his game slightly, but Aamir is hitting it!
Deepika and Ranveer and pregnant!!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! I like them as a couple (I think everyone does?) and I believe Deepika has spoken about wanting to be a mother in past interviews, so yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Your vacation sounds so great! My perfect vacation would be just reading in various places and occasionally getting a massage. I’m theoretically on vacation now but getting some writing done.

Not in your area of interest, but there’s a Bengali film called Oti Uttam which is a new film using old clips of Uttam Kumar as Uttam’s ghost. I’m not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, Uttam loved movies and making them and said he wanted to die while working (which he did) so he might want to still be in movies after his death? On the other hand, ew.

Yeah, I’m not sure how I feel about that either. Lawrence Olivier was used in a movie years ago, I think it was one of the first times in Hollywood that someone had inserted old footage. There was a bit of an “ew” reaction, but than it turned out that the footage of him was used as footage, that is, as a video recording left by someone from the past. So it was a lovely homage without trying to rip him from his grave. That I like, that makes me happy, not sure how I feel about stitching together old footage to make an actual new character.

I just watched it and it really didn’t grab me. Another Dedicated Female Cop movie, but nothing jumped out as unusual.

I haven’t seen Kajol & Kriti together, don’t know how many scenes they would have with eachother, but if they have good chemistry together I look forward to it.

Yaaaaaaaaaaay! Varun and Natasha, I also like them! And I feel like they would be good couple friends for Dips and Ranveer. Maybe their kids will end up in the same school?
For Kareena, I don’t know, it was such a different time! They got in trouble for kissing in public, it was soooooooooooo forbidden to publicly acknowledge a relationship until it was an engagement. I could believe she just said that becuase she knew the public needed her to say it, not “I don’t know, we’re dating, we’ll see where it goes”.

But I do think that Shahid and Kareena were very serious.She became a vegetarian and everyone says that she was a very different person with Shahid. I can believe she was very serious but they broke up.

Yeah, but it’s pretty crazy to see looking back at how they broke up less than a year later after her saying that in this interview.
