Somehow, it is both rainy and overcast, and also 90 degrees out today. And Banjo isn’t playing anywhere near me, so I don’t get to see a new movie tonight. And generally life is bleak and depressing. So, here is a random collection of recent news items that make me happy. Feel free to bookmark this post for the next time you feel down!
This is really an old news item, that was posted in the Fans of Bollywhat Facebook group a while back, but I finally got around to watching it, and it is so good! Just makes me happy. And helps Badshah on his slow push to take Yo Yo’s place in my heart.

I know I know, it’s all shamelessly choreographed and fake and they are playing the camera and so on and so on. I don’t care! I just love it! Although, it also gives me awkward flashbacks of hearing from my own “aunties” (biological and honorary) about what they thought of my book. Lot’s of “it was real good! You know so many things!”
Okay, I know there is a chance Shahrukh doesn’t even run his own twitter account (although I am pretty sure he does), and either way this tweet was clearly planned and considered for optimal reaction. I don’t care! It still makes me happy and I forwarded it to everyone I know!
Also making me happy, Zarine Khan has Dengue! Not that I have anything against Zarine Khan, but it is just playing into my delightful fantasy of Shahid Kapoor controlling mosquitoes and sending them out against all who have wronged him. Or, Vidya Balan, who has cleverly infected herself and framed Shahid Kapoor for it in order to divert suspicion. I don’t know what they would have against Zarine Khan, maybe she was rude to them at a party once or put a curse on UTV or something, but it still makes me happy! Picturing either of them, Vidya or Shahid, locked in their dark mad scientist room whispering to a petrie dish “fly! Fly my little mosquitoes of vengeance! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!”
And finally, the thing that is really making me happy, someone reminded me last night that this song exists:

SRK has said very clearly that he writes his own tweets and does not run his Facebook. I don’t think he would so clearly say if it wasn’t true. He also says he reads most of the ones sent to him which he must do cause he responds so randomly. Of course he skips all of the ‘I love you’s.

Thank you! That’s what I always thought, because the tweets just sound like him, you know? Kind of random and witty and stream of consciousness, and then he will drop off for months at a time just like a normal person would, and then have insomnia and tweet 20 times in an hour.
But then a cynical friend planted doubts in my head and I started getting worried it was all wishful thinking.

The same cynical friend tried to convince me his abs in Happy New Year were CGI, so I think maybe she just doesn’t want me to be happy.
