I still haven’t seen Force 1. I’m ashamed and all that, but I missed it in theaters and then I spoiled myself for the ending and it sounded like kind of a downer, so I skipped it on DVD. But Force 2 looks pretty good, so maybe I will make myself watch Force 1 so I am all caught up.
If you, like me, haven’t seen Force 1. But, unlike me, haven’t spoiled yourself. Then don’t watch the Force 2 trailer! Because it totally spoils a big thing from Force 1, which is also the reason I decided not to watch Force 1. But if, for whatever reason, you don’t care about spoilers, then do watch it! Because it is a good trailer, and Sonakshi has great hair and a strong character.
And then there is yet another Shivaay trailer! Which is essentially a father-daughter love song. Which is cool, and I completely believe Ajay in it since he seems in real life to be completely besotted with his daughter. But, mixed in with this loving parent relationship and being present in her life and so on and so on, are some TERRIBLE SAFETY CHOICES!!!! Like, up there with the fight at the end of Raja Hindustani bad! Oh, and in terms of plot guesses, I think we can all agree that this is his daughter with the white lady from the last love song trailer, he has partial custody for a few scattered vacations, and he still isn’t quite over her mother. Yes?
If you haven’t watched Force then I’d suggest that you watch the original, Kaakha Kaakha (Tamil) starring Suriya and Jyothika. It came out in 2003 and the lead actors are now married to each other. Or watch the Telugu remake of Kaakha Kaakha which I think is better since the lead actor, Venkatesh, fits the role better. Gautham Menon, the director, even said that he liked the Telugu version better. Here’s a link to it with subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOS3ncvzomo
By the way, Gautham Menon is a really good director and you should definitely check out some of his other films like Vaaranam Aayiram and Ye Maaya Chesave.

Hey, he’s the really-good-soundtrack movie director! Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, which I finally got around to watching a few months back, after having the soundtrack memorized.
I’ll add the suggestions to my Telugu list!

Gautham Menon is usually known for the way he characterizes the heroines in his movies and the music in his movies! By the way, Vaaranam Aayiram is a tamil movie and Ye Maaya Chesave is the telugu version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya. Gautham Menon has a good fan following in both languages so he usually makes bilinguals with different casts in each language.
Actually, Gautham Menon has a movie coming out soon called Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo (Telugu)/Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (Tamil). It’s been having financial troubles but it is expected to come out around Diwali. The songs and trailers of both versions have come out already if you want to check them out.

Ooo, Telugu guy is cuuuuuuute! I think I might opt for that version based on entirely shallow appearance based reasons. That is, if I have time. If it’s coming out at Diwale, it’s going to have to come in 3rd behind Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay.

The telugu actor, Naga Chaitanya is one of my favorites though he’s not the most talented actor. He’s really good at romance though!
Gautham Menon is both producing and directing both movies so he’s having release issues. The tentative date is the last week of October but it could be postponed to november too. The movie was originally supposed to be released in July but it keeps getting postponed

By the way, Naga Chaitanya is the one that’s doing the remake of Premam. It’s coming out this weekend if you want to check it out 🙂 From what I’ve read, they’ve made a few changes to the Telugu version. Here’s the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEH2ba3VGjc

That’s sp funny, I was watching the SSS trailer thinking that he kind of reminded me of Nivin Pauly, the lead actor from the original Premam!

That’s interesting! You should totally watch 100% Love starring Naga Chaitanya and Tamannah if you can. It is directed by Sukumar, the director of 1:Nenokkadine, so it’s a pretty good movie. Another movie I would reccommend is Manam which stars Naga Chaitanya along with his father and his grandfather. It’s one of my favorite movies! Naga Chaitanya is a third-generation actor.

What is the deal with the “head through the wall” move? I think I’ve seen it in a dozen movies. How about more variety — like head through car roof or head through airplane window or head through aquarium glass. Although, I suppose someone somewhere has already done those, too.

I think Qurbani, the most insane action movie of the 80s, does have a guy whose head goes through an aquarium. I think it’s Amrish Puri with a huge afro. Really, you should just watch the whole movie!
