National Ice Cream Day is actually Sunday (ooo! FanFic theme?), but I am stealing it for today for TGIF. Because I love those “what food is your favorite star?” kind of posts!
Getting it out of the way right at the start, Shahrukh is clearly mocha. With the sweetness of chocolate for the kids, but the bite of coffee for the adults.

Moving right along on the list of Top Faves, Prabhas! Somehow I am feeling strawberry for him. Sweet and natural.

Prithviraj has a new movie coming out today (which I can’t see because the world isn’t fair), so I will pick him next. I think straight coffee? Just for adults, no little kiddie chocolate flakes thrown in.

Diljit Dosanjh, also has a new movie this week. Strong, traditional, Punjabi. Almond flavored

Let’s get some ladies here! Madhuri, a natural Indian flavor that can move over to the west and back again as she needs to. Clearly coconut.

Ranveer, whose birthday I missed (sorry!), he is almost too much for some tastes. Chili Chocolate

Anil Kapoor, a reliable old classic that you enjoy more and more as you age, and which gets stronger flavored as it ages. Vanilla, but that strong aged vanilla where you actually taste the flavoring.

Sonam Kapoor, simple and elegant and not afraid to be strong. Raspberry with chocolate.

Aishwarya Rai, I am feeling a wee bit mean. Bubble gum. Tasty at first, but you quickly overdose and just want to throw away the rest of the carton and never look at it again.

Okay okay, I’ll be nice again. Vidya Balan. So Indian that she never quit fits with anything western, her Indianness overwhelms it. So, Turmeric ice cream.

Speaking of unusual flavors, Sai Pallavi. Unusual, unexpected, and so addictive you can’t get enough of her. Cinnamon.

Short, sweet, strong, and popular at Christmas. Aamir Khan is clearly peppermint.

Seems strong, but actually soft and sweet. Salman is clearly caramel.

John Abraham, almost too many flavors in one. A little bitter, a little Indian, a little soft and marshmallow. Rocky Road.

Akshay Kumar, I have to go with his wife’s description, “6 foot of chocolate ice cream”.

Okay, now that I’ve reached chocolate, I am exhausted. And very very hungry. So I am going to take an ice cream break while you ponder these questions:
Which of these do you agree with most?
I think for me mocha ice cream is still the one that feels most perfect.

Which do you disagree with?
I have this little voice that tells me Aamir should be mint chocolate chip. But I just don’t know!

What ice cream flavor are you now most curious to try?
Turmeric! I knew it existed but I’ve never had it, and now I really want to.

Bonus question:
Who did a miss that really deserves a flavor?
Reblogged this on Business Startup-Bay Area.

Aamir is completely wrong! He’d make his own hand-churned gelato sourced from organically raised cows and he’d go through multiple versions as he tried to find the proper balance of sophisticated but still palatable to the masses and then he’d settle on mint chocolate chip ice cream but like really really good mint chocolate chip ice cream and he’d serve it at a big barbecue that he throws once a year and he would hyperventilate and have an anxiety attack until everyone ate it and assured him that it was wonderful. Then he’d license the formula to a supermarket chain and drive the executives crazy by anally-retentively interfering with the production process.

And on the label would be a long lecture about the importance of sustainable organic farming and pure milk. So people could feel good about eating it, like they were somehow doing something in the world instead of just enjoying themselves.
Also, in preparation for the first handchurning, he would spend 6 months traveling the country as a cow to really FEEL the milk.

The traveling as a cow bit made me laugh out loud! And yet I love him anyway. My brain is weird.

I know what you mean. Now I am thinking of Shahrukh ice cream. Used to taste great 10 years ago, but then he got really into baking and kind of lost his ice cream touch. Sometimes he runs out of patience and stops churning too soon, all the ingredients are still there but the consistency is just unsatisfying. Sometimes he comes up with these really weird ideas, like sardine and lemon flavored. It tastes delicious, but no one is willing to try it.

And he added chocolate from Davos to one of his formulas and now everyone is suspicious of him because it’s not good Indian chocolate. Now he’s trying to serve the ice cream in very small containers for novelty but spending most of his time working on a new recipe for profiteroles that are made completely locally but no one appreciates his efforts to build the Indian Desert complex and achieve sweets independence from Europe and the West.

Exactly! Especially because his new recipes are still being packaged in the same old cartons.
Also, Ben and Jerrys on sale at Whole Foods today! I am going to go sit in my air conditioned bedroom and eat ice cream straight from the carton and mull over whose ice cream it most tastes like. Cookie dough, that feels like Varun. Kind of childish, but sometimes it just hits the spot.

Ooo, butterscotch strawberry! Now I want that flavor. I may have to go to a “make your own ice cream” place today to satisfying all my cravings.

Madhuri and Aish are both perfect. Aish could be birthday cake flavor as well. Shah Rukh is good too, but maybe with a bitter fudge ripple.
Irrfan: green tea ice cream
Rani: butter pecan or rum raisin
Kajol: black cherry
Preity: lemon sorbet
Juhi: peach ice cream

Those are perfect!
Irrfan, a bit of an off-beat flavor but once you try it, you love it.
Rani, something that you don’t enjoy as a child but come to like the flavors as an adult.
Kajol, tart and sweet and unique.
Preity, light and unusual and refreshing
Juhi, just wholesome and healthy and natural
