I was thinking, Dilwale is a Christmas movie, right? Sort of? And also an Indian film which is technically the Brief for this blog. On the other hand, if you don’t care and are willing to indulge my wild stabs at Western films, I have other silly American Christmas options in my head.
Dilwale
SRKajol, stupid comedy, good songs, and some nice Christmassy moments. Good times! Who’s in???

Alternative choices:
Christmas in Connecticut, similar to last week’s choice, a biting snarky rom-com layered into a Christmas setting. Career woman has to pretend to be a housewife for a publicity stunt and then ends up falling in love. It makes fun of the “perfect housewife” stereotype, it’s got some sweet mistaken romance (how can we be falling in love if she’s married?), and some nice 40s fashion

Babes in Toyland, I’ve never seen it and it looks insanely campy.

This one, with Keanu and Drew Barrymore
I was thinking about this the other day! What would christmas movies in the hindi film industry be?
I could only come up with K3G and HAHK and HSSH, but I’m sure there are others!

Arguably, almost all Hindi movies are Christmas movies! Family, romance, community, all those things that people love in Christmas movies and are sad we don’t have all year.

Can’t make this weekend but would love to watch Christmas in Connecticut another time! Actually would also love to see Babes in Toyland I’ve heard it’s insane.

It very much looks like it is insane.

I think if we’re liberal, Heyyy Baby is a Christmas movie and KNPH too, because Christmas appears in them! Christmas is Connecticut looks fun, though, and I’m always up for Dilwale.
