Happy Wednesday! Time to exchange stories and links and all that fun stuff! You amuse yourselves while I try to get ahead of postings because I have a party tonight.
Reading: Not much! My brain has turned to mush. It’s that time of year. Also, I maybe suffering from massive sugar crashes thanks to having a grande peppermint mocha latte every morning and cake for lunch (my office has a bit of a competitive baking thing going).
Oh, there is one thing, continuing our PC talk. An article from The Cut, smart savvy pop culture publication. UPDATE: it’s been pulled from The Cut, but here is an old link to it: http://web.archive.org/web/20181205133311/https://www.thecut.com/2018/12/everything-to-know-about-priyanka-chopra-and-nick-jonas.html
(And while i am thinking about it, here is my detailed post on PC’s pre-America fame and persona and ups and downs if you feel the need to refer back or direct others here: https://dontcallitbollywood.com/2018/06/21/hindi-film-101-priyanka-chopra-and-shahrukh-khan/ )
Watching: Well, Dina came over on Monday and I made her watch the Sara and Janhvi Koffee episodes and we agreed that we like Sara better and she also feels like she’s got a better career prospect. Besides that, New Girl while I try to focus on writing every night and fail.
Thinking: I think this might be the moment that I give up and buy presents on The Internet instead of continuing to try to make them. I’m trying to be better at trading money for time instead of killing myself doing everything at once. Speaking of, I am also buying food for tonight’s potluck party. And I may have to pay someone to cut Dog Hazel’s nails instead of trying to do it myself. Speaking of DH, she is reacting to all my over scheduled and under energized-ness by feeling a little fragile spending a lot of time hiding under my desk at work.
Listening: The fun one! Okay, I’m still all Christmas music all the time, but if we count stuff I am watching/listening too, there’s also the Teefa in Trouble soundtrack. “Item Song” is great, but I think this is my favorite.
Now, question for you! A silly one because I’m getting the Christmas too-much-sugar-too-little-sleep sillies: Out of all of Indian film, who would you Hook-Up, Date, Marry?
I’ll start! Hook-up, Ranbir, because I have to confess to some curiosity about what all the Kapoor fuss is about. But obviously I would never want to date or marry him. Date, Ranveer. He seems super fun. But too exhausting to marry. Marry, Maddy. Very solid, very reliable. Bonus answer, all three, Akshay Kumar! Seems like a fun hook-up, a great date, and a great husband.
And now the female side of things! Hook-up, Vidya I guess. Seems very comfortable in her own body. Date, definitely Kat, the perfect supportive girlfriend. Marry, Parvathy. We can have long interesting conversations for the rest of our lives.
How about you?
