Watch SOTY2 Here in Half an Hour, 10am Chicago Time!

Such an exciting weekend! I scheduled a last minute KKHH watch late late late on Saturday, and then I changed the proposed time of this morning’s viewing from 7am Chicago time to 10am Chicago time. And this one was scheduled a bit last minute too. Oh well, hopefully I still get people to join! Who doesn’t love SOTY2?

SOTY2!!! It’s available on Prime in America, and possibly also other places, or not, who knows, the mysteries of Prime.

Anyway, you will enjoy it! I promise!!!! Swing back here in half an hour, 10am Chicago time, and I will start off the comments and then we can watch all together, it’s nice.

  1. The skirts are so short! Having just watching KKHH and remembered how short Rani’s were, I guess Karan just likes that look?

  2. this is just ridiculous, I feel like I’m watching Koi Mil Gaya with Tiger somehow having brain damage making him a child in a man’s body. Only way it makes sense!

  3. I can’t decide if this gymnastic style of Kabaddi is more ridiculous, or that they are all clearly grown men playing it.

  4. This is a great movie for class/wealth dynamics! Ananya’s family is rich enough to send her to the “good” school, but her Mom still dries her own peppers.

Also, thank goodness, realism in Tiger getting his cool rich guy make-over.

  5. I’m here and making up for the fact that I fell asleep in the middle of KKHH, which might be one of my all time favorite movies. According to my husband I feel asleep right in the middle of Saajan Ji Ghat Aaye. Ugh! So annoyed at myself.

  6. I am more bothered than I should be about this clearly being a different campus than Saint Teresa in SOTY1.

Maybe rich Sid M gave an endowment and they totally rebuilt?

  7. “Subway in college!” Hey! We had Subway at my college! And also, Sbarros. Should I be more excited about that than I was?

    • I worked at a Subway one summer and now everytime we go by a Subway, my husband asks me if I want to eat fresh. It’s so silly, and yet it has become a family joke that makes us all roll our eyes.

  8. Kind of feel for Tara here. She’s just trying to reinvent herself! And now he’s there without even giving her a heads up? She’s still being friendly and stuff, she hasn’t dropped him.

    • Same actor played Karan in I Hate Luv Storys, and I loved him in that. He was over the top and ridiculous (like Karan), but he also mentored the hero and gave him really good career advice (like Karan)

  9. Do you think they fell in love after they were both hired, or where they both hired because they were already together? Why do I care about this?

  10. How could people not have liked this movie? It’s so charming! the little lights on the cell phone thing? The “ba da dum” chorus?

    • I literally have the Kabaddi scene muted so I can read the comments I missed. This was my thought the entire movie. Even just basic friendship. Ananya and Tara could have been great!

  11. I love this movies commitment to treating Kabaddi as deeply DEEPLY serious. How could these actors not break into giggles while saying the lines?

  12. I don’t trust Manav at all, no one is that nice.

Does it seem like a girl shouldn’t be in the dressing room? Like, aren’t they supposed to be getting naked and stuff?
