It’s always odd when you see period actors in modern clothing, right? Like, Colin Firth (The One True Darcy) never looks quite right to me in jeans. But, on the other hand, the Bahubali cast in modern clothes does make me think “oh good, it’s just a movie! I don’t have to be so sad/scared/angry about it.” And I thought it might cheer us all up to share that experience this Friday. I’m just gonna start at the top, with the photo that is so cute it launched a viral fanart picture around the internet.
OMG that baby!!!! And also Prabhas, with the big smile and the beard and all.
And now I am seeing “related photos”, and people keep handing him babies! Maybe something about his persona? He seems so nice and kind of shy and sweet in interviews, like he would be good with a baby. Although this particular baby is really not into it, much more “yeah, it’s a movie star, so what?” than the last one who was all “GLEE!”

So, if you are depressed after Bahubali 2, just imagine Prabhas going to an afterlife filled with babies, Anushka playing with puppies all day, Rana in heaven just being half naked all the time like he likes, Ramya finally being allowed to let down her hair both figuratively and literally, Tamannah meeting every famous person in the world, and Kattappa (poor Kattappa!) leaving Mahishmati and buying a sweet ride, going to clubs, getting a dog, and wearing sunglasses like he just don’t care.

If I understood correctly, the baby in the first photo is actually the little girl who played baby Prabhas 2, which is why I love that drawing with her as model so much (it’s actually what Prabhas and Anushka and their kid would look like!)

Devasena in Billa is another one.😀 In one of the interviews with Prabhas and Anushka, the lady asks Anushka, “Is there something you think you can’t do when you’re 50?” and Prabhas goes, “Billa”. 😂

I keep forgetting they were in that terrible terrible movie together. I bet it formed a bond, suffering through the agony of a bad script. In interviews around Queen, Lisa Haydon and Kangana kind of implied that their friendship bond onscreen came naturally since they’d suffered through Rascals together, and that’s the kind of experience that draws you together for life.

Exactly! Kind of get the vibe that SRKajol bonded extra hard on the Karan Arjun and Baazigar sets for the same reasons. Not that those were exactly “bad” movies, but they weren’t the deep acting experience they would have later.
