Sadly, this is the last Friday that will be having entirely SRK TGIF posts. Although, happily, that does mean the return of Prabhas and other southern heroes to our lives. Plus John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, and all the other old favorites. Anyway, for our last post, which is also the 6th day before the birthday, I thought the 6 Flavors of Ayurvedic diet/medicine might be nice. In a mixture of images and quotes.
Sweet
Sour
Salty
Of course there’s also literally salty, saltwater
Gifable!
Bitter
Pungent
Astringent
Astringent is also cleansing, yes?
So, which is your favorite flavor? Or, put it another way, which flavor makes him unique to you? I think I like the astringent. That strong cleansing almost painful honesty, that’s what makes him a little different from the others.
Which is your least favorite flavor? Or the least unique? I think bitter is what bothers me the most. Partly because it is unpleasant to hear, partly because when he gets bitter is when I know he is really unhappy.
What flavor would you add to these six? I would add “chocolatey”. Which is a little bitter, but smoother on the way down.
What photo/quote did I miss that you would like to add? oh oh! An excuse to post this video for “sweet”.
Sweet, every time. https://vine.co/v/ivwv1dFa9q5

SALTY because his rapier-like wit can be salty at times and he seems to be the salt of the earth. Basically, the salt of the earth can mean the fundamental simple goodness of his soul. I believe that he is trustworthy, straightforward, compassionate and loving as many simply good people are.
Which is your least favorite flavor? Or the least unique?
BITTER because I believe there are many things in his life that have caused deep seated sorrow and pain which he keeps hidden from most if not all his friends; yet erupts in anger, small or large. out bursts.
What flavor would you add to these six? I think “coffee”. It can be energizing. It can be dark and bitter. It can be sweet and soothing. It can be creamy and oh so smooth.

Which flavor? The flavor I’ve always appreciated the most is his optimism. He can know all the negatives of a situation (probably more than we are aware of) but he chooses to walk on the bright side of life. That is mighty tasty.
Part of his sweet flavor, it cheerfulness. Have you noticed that he rarely complains. He seldom even makes comments about the shooting or the set being unbearably hot, or unexpectedly cold, scratchy clothes, smelly whatever. He knows that this is the life he has chosen and accepts everything in that choice.

Love the post!!! As I think that ShahRukh is the walking and talking and acting harmony of seemingly incompatible qualities or characteristics, I vehemently plead for the fully appreciation (even relish) of that variety of flavours I encounter in ShahRukh (btw, I enjoyed your chosen examples and those brought in the comments).
I think that “astringent” and “bitter” (basically everything ‘spicing’ are very important for him as he is a genuinely sweet guy.
An additional flavour when it comes to ShahRukh would be Lassi for me…sweet or salty or just pure 🙂

Yes! I don’t know exactly what I would call the lassi flavor, but I know what you mean. Rich and filling with a little bit of flavor to it.
