I am the India Area Chair for the Midwest Popular Culture Association!  The annual conference is in October, the submission deadline for that conference is this month (gah!).  But the submission is easy, just a paragraph about what your talk will be on, and then you have 6 months to actually write the thing.  If you want to add a conference to your CV, and think it would be cool to talk with other people about Indian film, read on for more details.

In the Chicago Area? Want to Hear Me Give a Talk?

This is a long shot, but I never get enough audience members, so I might as well see if I can drum up any business here!

I am the India chair for the Midwest Popular Culture Association, our annual conference is next weekend(October 6th-9th) in Rosemount, just outside Chicago near O’Hare.  I’ve organized a lovely panel on Indian popular culture for Sunday afternoon, as I have for the past few years, and I am already dreading no one attending, because no one ever comes to the India talk.
