This is just the funnest frothiest show. Highly highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet. And Karisma is a delight. She was born to be the lead of a dramedy. Below I have posted a brief description and an index of all my reviews, and then my review for the finale episode of the season. If you watched it already, tell me how much you loved it and Karisma! If you haven’t watched it, do that now and then read all my reviews using the index!

Mentalhood Episode 9 and 10: End of the Season! Final Episodes! What HAPPENS????
I watched these two back to back this morning, and I honestly can’t remember what happened in which one, so I am going to review them as one thing. Really they are one thing, it was just a two part finale. (full index of Mentalhood reviews here)
Continue readingMentalhood Episode 8: EVERYTHING STARTS HAPPENING AT ONCE OH MY GOSH!!!!
I can’t even follow all the plotlines that started and stopped this episode! I’m gonna try, but this review won’t be complete because SO MUCH. (full index of reviews here)
Continue readingMentalhood Episode 7: Not-Gauri Makes an Appearance! Otherwise, Boring Episode
Well, my hopes are dashed. I dreamed of Gauri appearing as “Mrs. Aryan Khanna”, and instead we got some boring extra woman. Although we did get to see inside a kids party at Not-Mannat, so that was fun! (full index of reviews here)
Continue readingMentalhood Episode 6: Women United
Well, this was a dull episode! It got to where it needed to be in the end, but it was kind of limp on the way there. Oh well, we had 3 really good ones in a row, it was time for a sort of soapy dramatic and then nothing happens plot. At least my review should be short! (full index of Mentalhood reviews here)
Continue readingMentalhood Episode 5: Things Heat Up, And We Think About Mothers as Nurses
ILLNESS ALERT! But this episode is barely related to the current real life situation, so just block that from your mind with force of will and you can enjoy it. And it’s another Really Good episode! I have to say, from episode 3 on, this show has been super impressing me. Also, Dino is cute again, some more. (index of all Mentalhood reviews here)
Continue readingMentalHood Episode 4: Well, This Was an Interesting Little Meta-Statement on Babita’s Parenting of Karisma!
Ooooo, this episode was JUICY!!!! Both on and off screen. The characters had all kinds of back and forth and movement, but boy is it hard to watch and not think of Karisma working through her own issues of mothering and how she was mothered! (index of all Mentalhood reviews here)
Continue readingMentalHood Episode 3: Gender is a Construct, How Progressive is THAT for an Indian Streaming Show????
This is SUCH a good episode! Really well-done and smart and not giving any easy answers to an issue. Feels like this is the episode where they really are saying what they want to say and the others were just marking time. Really, if the first two episodes don’t grab you, keep watching until this one before you give up. (index of all Mentalhood reviews here)
Continue readingMentalhood Episode 2: Dino Morea is the Hottest Boy in School
Woo, Dino! I like him so much more as an actor now than I did when he was young. And his character adds an interesting texture to the show as a whole. Can’t wait to see what they do with him! (index of all Mentalhood reviews here)

ALTBalaji! The little streaming service that could! It’s the streaming branch of Ekta Kapoor’s entertainment empire, and while on satellite TV she is know for inventing the sweet saccharine family drama, on streaming she is all about groundbreaking quality. This show isn’t the best of what she’s done, but it’s pretty darn good! Especially if you like mommy problems dramedies (Big Little Lies, the Bad Moms movies, etc.).
