My Housemates’ wedding is 5 days! Tomorrow the first international house guest arrives, another one on Wednesday, and two more on Thursday. Yesterday one of the brides went to her last dress fitting with her Mom, while I drove the other bride around to get those vital last minute wedding needs: 42 bottles of Prosecco, gold spray paint, duct tape, and lightbulbs. My parents came over for dinner last night and went home with two huge boxes of table linens and orders to deliver them to the venue 2 hours in advance on the day (the 42 bottles of prosecco kill a lot of our car space). It has taken over our life to the point that when we were shopping yesterday and the store was extra crowded, I thought “of course, everyone has to do extra shopping in honor of the national holiday of Wedding Week”.

Happy Monday! I have now organized my apartment from the front wall to about 20 feet back, including the living room, front hall, and front closet!. Next step, my bedroom and the guest room! Just gonna keep moving backwards until I’ve covered the whole space.

Happy Monday! I gotta get through 5 more days of this job, and then I get to have a pizza party on Friday. I had a vivid work nightmare last night where my boss yelled at me again, so that’s a great way to start my last day!

Happy Monday! I put in my notice last week, so this is the start of my first weird “I’m leaving but still here” week. Will it be easier or harder or just different? Who knows!

Happy Monday! It was supposed to be hot with thunderstorms today and instead it is hot WITHOUT thunderstorms. I appreciate the sunshine, but I do not appreciate having to water my yard, blech.

Happy Tuesday! Which is the start of the work week in America, because we all got Monday off, yaaaaaaaaaay! And now I am back at work and sad. Although happy it is only a 4 day work week.

Happy April Fools Day! What a dreadful holiday. I was trying to think of a fun nice prank to put up for this post and everything I thought of just felt MEAN. Is it possible there is no fun nice prank that exists in the world?

I am SO excited! I am going to a place that is not-home to do things that are not-work for 4 whole days! Oh, and also a place that is not-winter. I got a hotel room with a balcony across the street from a park, and I’m planning to go straight from the airport to a Barnes and Noble and load up on books. And that’s it, that’s the extent of my vacation planning. Park, balcony, books, sunshine. And NOT packing my laptop so I won’t even be tempted to work. Although I am hoping to write some blog posts either on my phone or on a library computer or something.

Happy Monday! I am still just flying from our Zoom call on Sunday! We definitely need to do more of those. And hey, I’m actually getting this post out this week ON MONDAY. Not Monday morning, but at least it’s the right day? I’m getting there.
