This was a fun movie! Classic Salim-Javed kind of plot, but with mature elegant calm Dilip Kumar as the lead, gave it a whole different feel. Also, Pran and Ashok Kumar and Rishi Kapoor and Amrita Singh are there.
Continue readingThese two sections were alike in that they were the only ones that had very limited responses. All the other sections, related to films, the answers were all over the place.
I just got a panicked text from a friend “Om Puri died?!?!?” And then another text with every emoticon available. Which is kind of how I feel. Confused, sad, angry, unsure. I liked a lot of Om Puri’s characters, and he was a good actor. But his personal life was confusing and unpleasant in a way that kind of affected his characters for me.
I always feel bad about how the resolution to things is usually not reported. There’s the initial exciting incident or court case or rumor, and then months later when it is actually resolved, nobody pays attention because they have moved on to a new rumor or incident or whatever. So today I am going to try to fix that and report 3 separate resolutions to old stories.
Remember a couple of days ago when Kangana asked why Hrithik’s Daddy had to come to his rescue? And I said it’s not really a Hrithik issue, it’s how the world works? I am CORRECT! Now Salim has come to Salman’s rescue. Oh, and speaking of old guys everyone listens too, Om Puri is in trouble as well.
