Y’all should read it, especially if you struggled a bit at the opening. It gets better. And then you can picture Sid M. as the hero and Pari as the heroine and be happy.

Mostly you need to know that it is weirdly relevant to 2020/2021, as you can see by the quote above summing up a character’s feelings.
