I am desperately anxious for more folks to see it and then talk about it with me. There is a good chance you will really really love it. Or else really really hate it. But I suspect strong emotions will be involved either way.

The trailers looked really terrible, and the concept made no sense (why remake a movie that is barely 10 years old?), and it was filmed in what felt like no time at all. And then it turns out to be a really deep interesting consideration of the problems of women in modern India. Who’d have thought?
