And done by your own intimate partner. So, don’t watch it if you can’t get past that. But DO watch it if you want to see a hopeful consideration of how someone can survive such an experience. And either way, READ THE SPOILERS. In this case, they won’t ruin the movie for you, and they will give you a lot to think and talk about.

And I also find it legitimately fascinating how tricky the public versus private requirements of Hindi film industry marriages are.
2 weeks into my new series, and I am getting decent views and comments. Yay! I will tentatively continue. In case you are new to this, the idea is that if you didn’t grow up surrounded by Hindi film, it can be hard to learn all the things that small children in India just know by osmosis. And so I am giving you a little “101” course on the things you need to learn. Kind of a follow up on the basic grounding I gave in my book. I’m not even sure I know who Ali Fazal is, but it’s still exciting that he might co-star with Judi Dench! Oh, okay, he was in a bunch of Western stuff, and also Always Kabhi Kabhi, which was produced by Shahrukh, so there is a Shahrukh connection, so therefore I care about him.
The internet is buzzing today over a blind item in the Mumbai Mirror which seemed to be referring to Salman’s potential marriage to his longtime rumored girlfriend, Romanian Iulia Vantur. But I don’t know if I believe it.
Urmila Matondkar got married! I am so happy! She sort of dropped off the radar over the past few years, so I was hoping it was because she was tired of the film industry and had a flourishing personal life, not that she was super depressed and desperate for roles.
