Welcome back to my fanfic! It’s rainy and horrible in Chicago right now, and I felt like curling up with a good fake story. So I am back to my fanfic, featuring Anushka 2 (daughter of Prabhas 1 and Anushka 1, sister of Prabhas 2) and Rana 2 (illegitimate nephew of Rana 1 by way of Nassar’s illegitimate daughter). On the Monday Questions post, I was talking about fanfic, and how I think it’s especially common with Bahubali because this world is so rich. There are so many characters who just show up for a scene or two and their story isn’t fully finished or ended, so many settings that we don’t explore entirely, so many possibilities for the future that are left unknown. Anyway, that’s what it is for me. And one of those possibilities that I explored in both of my original fanfics was “Anushka 2”, the daughter of Anushka 1 and Prabhas 1, if Prabhas 1 had lived after Prabhas 2 had been born. And now I have become obsessed with her love story with Rana 2 (Rana’s illegitimate nephew by way of his father’s mistress’ daughter) (full index of all Bahubali posts, including fanfics, here)
I wrote two fanfic posts on Bahubali, and in both of them I ended up giving Anushka and Prabhas a daughter, Anushka 2. Who has all the confidence of her mother with the fierce sense of duty and justice of her father. And then I kind of fell in love with her character, and ended up starting a fanfic for her and Rana 2 (the illegitimate nephew I decided to give Rana). You can read part 1 here.
Considering that Anushka 2 (the daughter Prabhas 1 and Anushka 1 would have had if Prabhas 1 had lived) isn’t even part of the “real” canon, I have become remarkably attached to my concept of her. So I can’t resist giving her a little spin-off movie all her own. And this works as a sequel to either of my previous Fanfics, the first one or the second one. Also, I really really got into this one, so it is less a single movie and more a mini-series/novel. There will be multiple installments. It will help wean us all away as now that the Bahubali 2 scene by scenes are over.
