This was fun, I didn’t have to write anything this week! We wrote it all together on Monday in bits and pieces, I just had to pull it together and make sense of it for this.
I just wrote about Dil To Pagal Hai, and the general consensus in the comments was that we don’t want Karisma and Shahrukh to get together, because she deserves better, someone who really truly loves her as much as she loves him. And then I started thinking about the other strong interesting women who got dumped by the hero just because they weren’t his “true love”.
Angie in the comments, my dedicated Madhavan corespondent, said that Maddy has been talking about how he wants to do another love story but no one is offering him a good script. That is so sad!!!! Surely we, as a blog community, can come up with something for him. Or many somethings.
My first fanfic post was very long, had no SRK, and only had one story option. All of these things have resulted in the past in a lack of interest from the readership. So to make it up I am going to do something short, with a lot of options, and lots of SRK.
My sister, who does math, just forwarded me an email reminding her to celebrate the “international day of women and girls in science”. Which I feel can best be celebrated by an epic fanfic about how hard and ultimately rewarding it can be to be a woman in science.
It’s Preity’s birthday week! And Urmila’s too! And both of them deserve to be working more, even though they are over 40. So, I have IDEAS!
This popped into my mind during a discussion in the comments on posts about Davos and I just had to write it down. I’m very excited!
I put together a list of all the FanFics for my 2017 DCIB Awards, so I thought I should put that to good use and build it up to a proper index.
This should be fun! 3 films patchworked together from Daboo’s photos. All based on Sanjay, of course, because he is the best.
This is partly based on a joking back and forth I had with my friend, partly based on a news story Asmita linked to in the comments, and partly based on everyone’s least favorite “actress”, Shraddha Kapoor.
I spent three hours yesterday looking at dogs. Well, 20 minutes looking at dogs, 2 hours and 40 minutes driving between shelters that turned out to be closed or not have any dogs and talking about dogs with my friend who came with me in order to stop me from taking home every dog there. Anyway, what with all the doggie talk, it is obvious what the topic of this week’s fanfic will be.

Poor Salman! A Christmas baby. He has to share his Sunday fanfic theme post with Christmas theme post. But it’s kind of a good fit, right? Salman has that warm sort of vibe that feels kind of Christmassy.
I’m excited about this! In spitballing back and forth in the comments on last week’s post (which was more about Christmas as a festival of lights and social experience and sexy holiday romance), it was suggested that I should just do the whole story. And I think I can! If I break it into 3 bits.
Happy first Sunday of Advent! Naturally, I had to do a Christmas themed post (to match my Christmas themed TGIF post). I briefly considered doing unmarried mothers in honor of Mary, but then I decided to think small instead and use the random small items of Christmas as jumping off points for story ideas.
As you know, if you’ve been following along, I just got a new kitchen cart! And then reorganized my kitchen to take advantage of it. And then cooked chicken, soup, and a pie. So I am very kitchen focused right now.
This is just because I have been watching Cheers and now I can’t get the idea of a remake out of my head. So I had to dig up a few more TV show options as well, just to round out the post. Feel free to give me suggestions in the comments for more I could use if I missed your favorite! Especially since my TV taste trends towards the classic.

No Shahrukh, so sad! But I can do my belated Halloween post with ghosts! Nice ghosts, because I don’t like scary ones.
Last Sunday of 31 days o’ SRK! Very sad. Although I am also kind of excited about being able to try out new non-SRK fanfic if I want next week. Anyway, for the final post, 4 real life stories that Shahrukh should play. And since it is just 4, I go into great great detail, unlike me very brief posts for some of the 11 last week.
Okay, your comments on the original post got me all excited! I have to do another post to cover my ideas for Harry Potter and The Philadelphia Story.
I am sure you will all have Thoughts in the comments about what I should have included and did not, along with what I included and shouldn’t have, and various other changes I should have made. And that’s fine, think of this as just a starting point!
Part 2! Another 9 movies Shahrukh could make next, age-appropriate, different from what he has done before, and I at least would enjoy watching all of them! (part 1 here)
