Random Non-Indian Review: I Watched Ted Lasso!

My big take-away: Apple TV is the Devil. I don’t have any apple devices, I paid for an ACTUAL SUBSCRIPTION so I could watch on my browser and my roku (supposedly), and I could still barely get the dang thing to work. I will assume it might work better if I spent thousands of dollars buying an apple device, but this is ridiculous! Soooooooooooooooooo buggy. Kept stopping and restarting and not responding when I clicked on things and BLECH. Oh, and now I am having a hard time getting the website to respond when I try to cancel, shocker. But the show’s great, I recommend bootlegging it if you can.

Gehraiyaan Review (No Spoilers): Cassavetes Crossed With Hitchcock

I feel bad using two Western references instead of desi. I suppose I could have said Vijay Anand crossed with Mahesh Bhatt. But this is a Shakun Batra movie, he’s alllllllllll about the Western style filmmaking and it really is more tied to Cassavetes and Hitchcock than anything in Hindi cinema.

Sunday WatchAlong: Rescheduled Because I Am Going on VACATION!!! Sunday Morning, What Lata/Love Movie Should We Watch?

Okay, multiple restrictions on you this week! First, I am taking a long weekend and going to a lodge at a state park a few hours outside Chicago. I’ll be back Saturday afternoon, so Sunday morning I can ease myself back from vacation with a watchalong! Either that morning or that afternoon. And second, it’s Valentine’s month so it has to have “Love” in the title. And third, it’s Jaya week, so it has to have a Jaya song in it.
