Boy, this party just lasts FOREVER, doesn’t it?  Oh well, it is a Punjabi wedding party, I guess that is realistic.  At least the scene right after is kind of interesting.  Maybe the reason I have been putting off getting back to DDLJ is because this is kind of a dull section.  Likes get to Karwa Chauth when things get interesting again! Phurr Video Out! So, that Whole “Paywall” Thing Was Really Nothing

Hindi Film 101 One-Off: Music Digital Rights Stuff

Remember yesterday when I was driven to an existential crisis by the way the release of “Phurr” kept being delayed and delayed?  Well, googling around today revealed there is a fascinating industry story behind it.  “Phurr” is being publicized as the first song to be released behind a “paywall”.  Which isn’t actually true, but that’s another story. (also, it’s on iTunes now, but also on Saavn, if you pay for the app like I do, you can download and listen as much as you want)

Phurr Promotions and Xeno’s Paradox (I Went on Twitter Again and it Scared Me)

I feel like I have used this example before, but I can’t remember what for.  Anyway, the new song from Jab Harry Met Sejal is (supposedly) coming ever closer to us.  And yet I find myself thinking, “will it ever actually arrive?  Or is this a Xeno’s paradox situation?” (and also, once again, I should not go on twitter!)
