Continue readingMy Housemates’ wedding is 5 days! Tomorrow the first international house guest arrives, another one on Wednesday, and two more on Thursday. Yesterday one of the brides went to her last dress fitting with her Mom, while I drove the other bride around to get those vital last minute wedding needs: 42 bottles of Prosecco, gold spray paint, duct tape, and lightbulbs. My parents came over for dinner last night and went home with two huge boxes of table linens and orders to deliver them to the venue 2 hours in advance on the day (the 42 bottles of prosecco kill a lot of our car space). It has taken over our life to the point that when we were shopping yesterday and the store was extra crowded, I thought “of course, everyone has to do extra shopping in honor of the national holiday of Wedding Week”.

Luckily, my housemates’ wedding is next week, so they are keeping me busy (they got married legally in January 2020, and have been waiting 4 years to have their big blow out wedding reception). Today, I get to go pick up 200 candles, and on Saturday I take delivery of a deep freeze (no leftovers will go to waste! Not at these prices).
