Happy Monday! Everything is weird. The cleaning people are here, but it’s only one person instead of two like I’ve had before, which means it will take twice as long and also I feel weird not interacting, versus when it was two chipper people talking to each other. My co-worker was supposed to come over for training and canceled at the last minute. And there are supposed to be thunderstorms this afternoon, but right now there isn’t a cloud in the sky. It’s all strange and I don’t like it.

Continue readingLudo Review (No SPOILERS): A Movie About Love and Happiness
Yaaaaay! A good happy movie! If you want a film that is satisfyingly well-made, and has a nice happy love and kindness message, you should watch this! I was very worried, because it is the kind of film that can suddenly turn dark and angry without warning (like, Super Deluxe). But no! I can report that it stays in the zone of “the world is ultimately just and people care for each other”.
Continue readingHappy Birthday Rajkummar, and 2 Year Anniversary of Stree!
So excited to share this review and discussion with those of you who just were able to watch the movie because of Netflix!

Continue readingBad Girls Month: Bareilly Ki Barfi! Kriti as an Unhappy Bad Girl
Such an interesting heroine in this movie! She is “bad”, but she doesn’t want to be. She wishes she was less outspoken, less strange, and could find someone who loves her.

Continue readingInstagram Update: Harsh Huh, Kat Cute, Patralekha Pyaari
My office is both extremely hot (the heater is malfunctioning) and busy (so many phone calls!), so I’m not even gonna do a real news analysis post. On the other hand, lots to discuss from Instagram! Well, lots of shallow image based gossip to discuss.
Continue readingJudgmentall Hai Kya Review (SPOILERS): A Movie That Fails Its Own Internal Logic
This movie had honest trailers, so if you liked what you saw in the trailer, the weird look and the twisted plot idea and so on, then you should avoid this review and read the No Spoilers instead. The film is far more enjoyable if you don’t know the twists. But if you saw the trailers and felt like it wasn’t for you, then it probably isn’t for you and you can just read this review instead.
Continue readingJudgmental Hai Kya Review (No Spoilers): Style Over Substance
