Remember how I said I was feeling rumpled today? That’s partly because I finished this movie right before work and it’s one of those stupid frustrating Malayalam open endings. I’m sorry, I was raised in America where an ending is happy or sad, and there are NO QUESTIONS. I don’t have the emotional/mental strength to handle all of these “it’s more beautiful and real for being incomplete” endings.

Discussion Post: What Was the Best non-Hindi Movie You Saw in 2019? Or in the 2010s?

As I am sure you have noticed, my posts tend to be Hindi focused. Because that’s where I know stuff, like being able to scroll through a list of films and remember which ones had really shockingly bad wigs. But that doesn’t mean I don’t care about other places! I just don’t know enough to do an awards post. I’ll do a discussion post instead, and you can all educate me.

2019 Thursday Tamil: Super Deluxe, the Movie Everyone Else Loved and I Had Issues

This should be divisive! Or, maybe not. My first reviews were divisive because they were pulling people who really liked the movie, but at this point it’s only going to be us DCIB regulars and I don’t think any of you were super super enamored? Oh, and fun thing about this review, I am combining the short review I wrote immediately which was flattering, with the SPOILER review I wrote after thinking for a day which was far more critical. So you can see my thought process develop over time, ooooo!
