Remember back earlier this month when I was talking about sewing and sewing and sewing, but I couldn’t tell you what I was making because I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for relatives who might be reading the blog. But now I can reveal to you the beauty and majesty of my presents!!!!

A Post for Christmas Eve: What Does it Really Mean to Say “God is Love”?

Oh boy, a thinky post! I’ve been deep binging cult documentaries because I find them soothing. You’ve got soothing word salad from the original recordings, crossed with that sense of “wow, my life is hard some times, but at least I’m not cleaning toilets for a madman 20 hours a day because I bought into some word salad!” And naturally, this all made me think about Jesus.

Discussion Post: Christmas Foods! What Are Your Favorites?

You don’t have to celebrate Christmas to answer this. If you are a non-Christmas celebrator but really love that one kind of cookie the bakeries have at this time of year, still answer. I mean, I could answer “favorite Eid food” and “favorite Passover food” too. Or if you are an adult/in-laws celebrator, tell me that too.

Week 6!!! Only 3 more weeks left! Or 2? I’m confused. Anyway, don’t panic, as y’all know I offer to send cards to anyone who wants them after the contest is over. Although then you just get the general card, not a specific one. But sometimes the general card is nicer than the specific ones (and it is very nice this year).

Christmas Songs Post: Which Blow the Doors Off Christmas Song is Better, Kate Smith’s “I Heard the Bells” or Mahalia Jackson’s “I Wonder as I Wander”?

These are two great songs to put together! Because they are both about American history in different ways, and they both are about blasting out your hope and faith in the midst of bad times.

Saturday Small Talk: Chat Away While I Do Final Christmas Prep

Happy Saturday! I am right on schedule, time to do the final apartment clean and wrap presents, then go back to my parents and make a gingerbread house. I don’t know if we actually want to make a gingerbread house, but it is on the list of Christmas Activities I wrote up back in November, so we have to.
