So photogenic in an odd way that doesn’t feel photogenic! Like, you don’t look at his photos and think “there is a perfect model handsome man”, you look at them and think “I enjoy looking at this face”. This weekend is both my father’s birthday (YAAAAY!) and my closest friends birthday. Oh, and Mickey Mouse. But I don’t know what he would like, so he doesn’t get a TGIF. Anyway, in honor of my friend, I am reposting an updated version of last years “Things she likes” TGIF. And also linking to her instagram account because it is all she ever asks for. Just a kind of round-up post. As you know, I always include SRK in every TGIF post. So for this, I am looking at my most popular general TGIF posts and just bringing in his pictures from them. And then you can decide which version of him is the best!
Another little Shahrukh story! Personal to me, nothing to do with anyone else, but I like putting in these little stories and building a vision of my almost 15 years of fandom.
Another little story. Hopefully people like them, I certainly like writing them and thinking about all the little moments that make up Shahrukh in my life.
Everyone said I should celebrate Shahrukh Month however I wanted, and today I feel like telling stories. Just little moments that help build up the whole picture of my relationship with him (a one-sided relationship, but still a true one).
We were talking in the Jab Tak Hai Jaan review about how “Ishq Shava” was such a different style of dance for Shahrukh and that got me thinking about the other songs that really showcase his dancing. If I miss one, feel free to add it in the comments. Oh, and this is NOT “Best Songs”. There’s all kind of amazing song sequences with perfect performances from him that are not included here, because they didn’t highlight dancing.
I’m in that perfect mood of tired but wanting a distraction that leads to very short fanfic ideas. So, for today’s TGIF, let us look at photos of Shahrukh in real life and pretend they are characters he is playing.
There are a large number of films where he actually is playing his own age, or close to it. But for those few where he is clearly far far distant from the character age, here are my suggestions for how to fix it. It’s not hard, I don’t know why they didn’t just right it this way to begin with!

ZiziStreet/ZiziK is sadly no more, which has greatly lowered the number of high quality Shahrukh fanvids in the world. But there are still some good ones! And it’s a nice fun thing to write about and think about for his birthday month.
A few of us were saying recently how nice we find it to watch Shahrukh interview videos, because he speaks so well and says such nice things. And so I have pulled together a fairly random collection of what I could find on youtube. Feel free to share your favorites in the comments.
I think I’ve referred to this in the past, but I’m not sure I’ve ever put up an actual picture. I’m not kidding when I say I have an actual alter to Shahrukh in my apartment.
Well, I got no sleep, and it is overcast today, and I am very much looking forward to finishing work, going home, leaving again, going to a movie, and then falling into bed for about 20 hours. I’m not talking about, like, hair clippings. I have never had any luck finding stuff like that. But there is plenty of other mass produced weirdness out there.
Gender is a construct, not a reality. Therefore, Shahrukh Khan, a man, can also have feminine aspects. And those aspects can be a blessing and a wonderful thing to be celebrated.
I know he is already celebrating, but now it is after midnight in America, so it is time for my celebration to start.
And the grand day is finally here! In India. Crowds outside the gate, small family party inside, very different from my last birthday.
