It’s not an actress whose first movie was this year (although there are some of those), it could also be an actress who had been around for a while but finally got noticed this year. OH THIS MOVIE!!!!!! Mad me so angry at how they ended it! But I only got angry because I cared, the rest of the film was good enough to make me care. If you want to know what happens and why I am angry, you can read the rest of the review. If you want to go in fresh, you can read the No Spoilers review.
This is a hard review to write, because I don’t want to spoil the movie, but then on the other hand I need to be give you a clue of what kind of a film it will be so you can make an informed decision about whether or not to watch it. I guess I will just say that I really liked the opening and the middle, but the ending did not work for me AT ALL. So if you are able to enjoy a movie in pieces, can separate out sections, you will enjoy it a lot. But if you can’t block out bits and pieces, (like me), then the bitter ugly bit is going to end up ruining the rest of it. So, BE AWARE!
I can’t believe it, Karan released this on twitter exactly 5 minutes after I went to bed. He must be watching me through his secret cameras and waiting until I go to sleep and only then releasing new stuff. Evil Karan! EVIL! Or at least, a little mean.
This is not the greatest trailer. Or maybe it is? It tells you exactly what this movie will be, no extra style flourishes or fanciness.
Fun fun! Song songs! I don’t know how these movies will be, but the songs are really lovely. Too bad it’s after Thanksgiving so I am not allowed to listen to anything but Christmas music until the 26th (allowed by myself, I have very strict rules for me).
I almost put up a post just for Kedarnath yesterday, but patience was rewarded and today there are two other trailers to go along with it.
Always so much news on Saturday! Which is nice, because it is easy to write these posts and then I don’t have to think of anything new.
Happy Saturday! I am pre-scheduling this because I am going to sleep in! And then go see Soorma. And then take a nap. The perfect day.
Nothing super interesting to discuss today, but some little bits of things to throw out there for all of us to chew on (now I am imagining myself as a zookeeper throwing news meat to my pack of lion-commentators to fight over and masticate down to nothing).
