Happy Wednesday!!! And Happy September!!! I am so glad to have made it to fall, my Favorite season. Especially this year when summer was so super super oppressively hot, and I had to move 3 times.

Mystery Movies to Watch With Your Spouse
Based on my highly sophisticated analysis, I am pretty sure the vast majority of my readers are female. So of the lists I have put out of suggestions to watch, the first (rom-coms) is to watch alone, the second (kid’s movies) to watch with your family. And now, movies to watch with your spouse! Or roommate or whatever, a fellow adult is the point.
Continue readingRani Week: Talaash! Rani and Aamir’s Last Great Collaberation
Rani is technically just a supporting character, but her role is the secret motive and power and goal of the hero. It’s a fascinating kind of role, she has to be isolated from the rest of the plot, but at the same time not isolated, since her reactions drive Aamir in everything he does for the rest of the plot. It’s her sadness, happiness, strength, sorrow, and so on, that make Aamir angry, confused, dedicated and so on.
Continue readingRani Week! Rank Her Sexiest Songs With Aamir
This was going to be a post of “Rani’s sexiest songs”, but she has been in WAY too many sexy songs. So instead I am limiting to Rani-Aamir only, and will probably do Rani-Shahrukh and Rani-Abhishek and Rani-Everyone Else so on later.
Continue readingWomen Directors Week Sequel Post: Sequels for Zoya and Reema, Gauri, and Tanuja; Luck By Chance, Talaash, Dil Dhadakne Do, Gully Boy, English/Vinglish, Dear Zindagi, Qarib Qarib Singlle
I’m still fighting off a case of the Mondays, and nothing cheers me up like fanfic! And this is fun fanfic, the ones where I don’t have to come up with characters and stuff, I can just piggyback on characters we already know and love.
Continue readingGlobal Box Office: The Audience Rebels against the YRF Empire, Declares Themselves FREE of Thugs of Hindostan
This is so exciting! A big box office story after far too long! And all over the world, America to Germany to Malaysia, everywhere is interesting! Well, if you are a number obsessed person like me. (as always, numbers from bollywoodhungama)
My Grandpa Reviews Jodha-Akbar, Ghajini, Tara Zameen Par, Talaash, Wake Up Sid, and Jab Tak Hain Jaan
Today is my Grandpa’s birthday, last year I did a whole survey of his life, so this year I want to do something a little different. I control my Grandpa’s Netflix list, which means sometimes I sneak in Indian movies. Grandpa loves movies and has very clear and firm opinions on them, which he types up and shares with the rest of the family. He just sent his thoughts on Ghajini, which inspired me to track down a few other reviews to share with you all.
Silly Sunday Sequels for Rani! Chalte Chalte, Talaash, Bunty Aur Babli, and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke
I’m excited! Lots of fun options here! Not just epilogues and alternative endings, but straight up separate movie plots following up on the same characters.
Talaash: A Very Strange Love Triangle and a Wonderful Picture of a Marriage
Welcome to the beginning of Aamir Day! No real reason, I just want to give him his own index just like Shahrukh and Hrithik and Salman, and now’s as good a time as any. I’ll be re-posting his reviews as I dig them out, and then ending by posting a nice Index for him. Also, a good time for me to finally get around to giving Talaash the post it deserves.
