Boy, this party just lasts FOREVER, doesn’t it? Oh well, it is a Punjabi wedding party, I guess that is realistic. At least the scene right after is kind of interesting. Maybe the reason I have been putting off getting back to DDLJ is because this is kind of a dull section. Likes get to Karwa Chauth when things get interesting again! (full index of DDLJ posts here)

Index of Indexes: Every Film I have Covered in Detailed Scene By Scene Style
Let’s make this a little easier for you, if you want to just read my super super intense detailed analysis/coverage of individual films, the stuff no one else on The Internet or even in the real world really does, here are all the films (so far) that have gotten this kind of treatment. Just click on the name to be taken to their individual Indexes.
Continue readingJab Harry Met Sejal Discussion post: Harry
I think this is it, isn’t it? It’s such a tiny focused movie, we have the two characters and their future together, and there isn’t really any other large area to talk about. Anyway, here is where we can all fight over our visions of Harry. I’ll give mine, which is neither wrong nor right but just how I see it, and you can give yours which is also neither right nor wrong. God bless Imtiaz for giving us such an open-ended character! (full index of JHMS posts here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Discussion Post: What Happens After the End?
This is just fun times. Let’s all share our own versions of what happens after the end of the film, what’s next for them? Again, no right or wrong answer, you don’t have to agree with me and I don’t have to agree with you, the film is open. (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Discussion Post: Sejal
I know you aren’t done! I know you have more to say. And rather than picking through the Scene By Scenes trying to find the right place for these Big Discussions, I am giving us designated places to talk about it all. (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 27: Butterfly
Here we are, at the end! I will be putting up a few sort of open discussion posts in a bit, because it feels like people still have things to say, but this is the end of the actual scene by scene. Hopefully as nice an ending as it was for the film itself, a moment of joy confirming everything we have seen before (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 26: The Kiss
Well, here we are, the best part, which I have set aside in its own post for your re-reading ease. And my writing pleasure. And which also means that “Butterfly” gets it’s own post, Part 27, so we are BEATING BAHUBALI 2!!!! Be very proud. (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 25: Harry Finally Makes His Move
We are finally here! This is going to be another epic length post, I can just feel it. But it won’t finish everything. Because I have decided, the very very end of the film is going to get it’s own little post. Because I kind of suspect it is something you will want to be able to easily find and read and reread and reread as we suffer through the long long wait for Netflix (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 24: The Fight
I am so excited to write this part! Because in the middle of a discussion in the comments about it like 4 days ago, I had a sudden revelation and I have been holding off on sharing it until now, because why waste it on a comment when I can use it in a post? (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 23: Mostly Raula
I have SO MANY thoughts! SO MANY! And you probably won’t agree with them based on what has already been said in the comments. But that will just make it more fun for all of us! (Full index of JHMS posts here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 22: Yaadon Mein and Love Making
How am I going more slowly through this than through Bahubali 2 (total of 26 parts, definitely feels like this one’s going to be more than that)? Oh that’s right, I skipped the sad bits of Bahubali. May have to skip the sad bits of this too, I’m not sure yet. Anyway, this part isn’t sad! Sort of. Wistful? Poignant? Anyway, not straight up sad. (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 21: A Ring is A Ring is A Ring
I loved the last bit of the last section, and the first bit of this section. But I am a bit ambivalent about the rest of it. (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Part 20: Portugal and India
Finally! The good bit again. And then a bit of less interesting. But good stuff first! (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 19: The Universality of Heartbreak
Well, this is an okay section. But the poor thing is stuck between two really great sections. So I am feeling a bit “oh let’s just get this thing over with!” about it. (full index of JHMS posts here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Part 18: Phurr and Anushka’s Awakening
This is going to sound really silly, but what “Phurr” reminds me of the most is “Kwaja Mere Kwaja” from Jodha-Akbar. Only with Diplo and sex instead of Rahman and God. (full index of JHMS posts here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Part 17: Anushka Is “Worth It”
This is such an odd section of the film. It’s very hard to describe without sounding really really stupid and shallow. But it isn’t! If you go on this whole journey with these characters, it makes complete sense. (full index of JHMS posts here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene by Scene Part 16: Train Trip!
Phew! We get back to unspoken interpersonal shifts in this section, instead of that boring stuff actually happening in the last section! Who needs THAT! (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 15: The World Intrudes
This is maybe my least favorite part of the film. There are still fascinating interesting things that happen, but it’s a lot of stuff happening in the “real” world instead of internally, in order to set up the really interesting internal stuff that happens in the last bit. So not as much long intense consideration of character moments, more “and then this happened, and then this happened, and then this happened.” (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Raees Full Coverage Index
Another Index finished! And I think this might be the last one? Because Bahubali is already indexed, and there hasn’t really been anything else that big this year.
Dear Zindagi Full Coverage Index
And another Shahrukh movie! I honestly didn’t set out to cover Shahrukh more than anyone else (I do personally like him more than anyone else, but that shouldn’t affect my professional style reviews). It’s just that I started the blog in late 2015, and since then Shahrukh has been in 5 major movies and Salman and Aamir have only been in 1 each (I’m not counting Tubelight), and Dangal came out at Christmas so I didn’t have time for full coverate.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Scene By Scene Index
I forgot I did this! Thank goodness I looked at the list of films in 2016 and it reminded me. So now ADHM gets its own index. With only a wee bitty bit of Shahrukh in it.
Jab Harry Met Sejal Scene By Scene Part 14: Not Legal Offense
What an interesting scene this is! Followed by a couple less interesting scenes, then another interesting few ones. We will see how far I get today. (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Part 13: Klara Appears
Welcome back! Kind of a double post, partly because my viewer numbers are telling me that people are losing interest (I know, not most of you, but some of you), and I want to crank through this thing while most of you can still remember the film. And also partly because the last section felt like it should really lead straight into this one (full JHMS coverage index here)
Jab Harry Met Sejal Part 12: Beech Beech Mein and More
Yay, post-Interval! More importantly, post my least favorite scene of the film (the last one I covered, right before the interval). And now we get to move back into the fun stuff (full index of Jab Harry Met Sejal coverage here)
Sultan Coverage Index
And here we are at the 3rd major film I covered in blogging! Meaning multiple theme posts leading up to release, then multiple reviews, and then a sloooooooooow multi-part scene by scene coverage.
