Bahubali Fanfic Part 6: A Conversation

I am almost done with the official Bahubali novel, and I have to say, my fanfic matches my feeling for the films much better than the novels.  I’m not saying it is better objectively, just that the things I liked from the films (strong characters, moral quandaries, a magical world, romantic love) are what I am playing around with in my fanfic, while the “real” novels are playing around with some whole other thing (it’s like the movies, but with sex!  Lots and lots of graphic boring sex!  And child killings) (full index of Bahubali posts, including the rest of the fanfic, here)

Well, apparently the promotion train is moving at an express pace, and I will need to put up one of these posts every day for the next month and a half (last one here).  I guess I am okay with that.  Anyway, New Teaser!  More importantly, Subtitles!!!  Most importantly, Shahrukh loves me and wants me to be happy and is showing it through subtitles on his trailers!  I should take this as a sign of his undying devotion to me and go be a Gaurav outside Mannat, right?

Bahubali Theme Post: Dharma Versus Justice

I was trying to explain this to my father in the car after seeing the film with him.  The difference between Dharma and Justice.  And it’s a hard one to explain, if you aren’t already familiar with the meaning of Dharma.  Because a quick one-to-one Hindi to English translation would actually be Dharma=Justice.  But it’s so much more than that, as the film shows. I finished the sad parts, yay!  And then celebrated by taking 2 days off.  And writing yet another fanfic (by the way, almost nobody reads the fanfics, but the few who do, really really enjoy them.  And I really really enjoy writing them!)  Anyway, now I am back.  Time for the thrilling conclusion!  Or at least, the first part of it.
