Well, apparently the promotion train is moving at an express pace, and I will need to put up one of these posts every day for the next month and a half (last one here). I guess I am okay with that. Anyway, New Teaser! More importantly, Subtitles!!! Most importantly, Shahrukh loves me and wants me to be happy and is showing it through subtitles on his trailers! I should take this as a sign of his undying devotion to me and go be a Gaurav outside Mannat, right?
I was trying to explain this to my father in the car after seeing the film with him. The difference between Dharma and Justice. And it’s a hard one to explain, if you aren’t already familiar with the meaning of Dharma. Because a quick one-to-one Hindi to English translation would actually be Dharma=Justice. But it’s so much more than that, as the film shows. (full index of all Bahubali posts here)
I finished the sad parts, yay! And then celebrated by taking 2 days off. And writing yet another fanfic (by the way, almost nobody reads the fanfics, but the few who do, really really enjoy them. And I really really enjoy writing them!) Anyway, now I am back. Time for the thrilling conclusion! Or at least, the first part of it. (part 20 here, you can crawl back through the archives from there)
You all realize this is the Tuesday Telugu/Tamil post this week too, right? I still put up a Malayalam post, because I feel bad for my poor Malayalam readers who have so few places to go to read their reviews. But Telugu/Tamil, you will have to make due with my crawling through the same movie for yet another week. (part 13 here, you can crawl back from there)
I know I know, there is beauty in tragedy, no success without loss, blah blah blah. I don’t care, it’s SAD! I can’t take it! So before I go into the really really dark part of Bahubali 2, I am going to have to write my own imaginary happy version of it. So I can pretend there is some other fictional universe where it all worked out in the end.
Happy Thursday! I was going to do two posts yesterday, but instead I did one summary post and one speculative post. And I think the speculative post is a little better written! Check it out. And to try to get this back on track, I am starting to slow down to 2,000 words for every 5 minutes. And at that pace I will never be finished! (part 1 here, part 2 here, part 3 here)
Happy Wednesday! By the way, this is your Tuesday Telugu post (one day late) as well. It was going to be Enthiran/Robot which suddenly popped up on Netflix streaming. But Bahubali 2 is taking up all my time, so you are going to have to wait another week before I write that up. (part 1 here, part 2 here)
I won’t promise that this will be my last review. I already posted my no spoilers review. And it’s possible that over the next few weeks, as I re-watch it, I end up posting one of those scene by scene things that takes me forever to write. But right now, I want to get up a SPOILER post, if nothing else so we all have a safe place to talk about the movie without worrying about ruining it for other people.
Yaaaaaay! The trailer is out! And I missed it last night because I can’t understand time changes! Karan announced when it would be released, but I thought it would be early this morning, not late last night. Oh well. It’s here now!
