Happy Monday! I had a very odd weekend, all day in the sun on Saturday, then church on Sunday and lunch with my parents, followed by a 4 hour nap. You know those naps that are so long when you wake up it feels like a different day? Maybe that’s why I am writing this post on Sunday night and scheduling it for Monday.
This video went up on Friday, but I have had a busy weekend, so I didn’t get a chance to watch it closely until now. Lot’s of interesting things to discuss!

Well, I’m back from the protest. Which turned into sort of a nice day in downtown Chicago. But also a day of ups and downs.
It’s very very hot here. And I have to go to the protest downtown, but I am going to get myself breakfast before and lunch after as a reward. Partly because it is too hot to think about cooking or even eating in my apartment, so I should do it while I can while I am out.
I’m back! 6 hours of sleep, and now I am refreshed and ready to move on to the SPOILERS review, after having already written the No Spoilers review. Which will be super fun for me, having just spent a month learning in detail everything about what “really” happened in Sanjay’s life (you can read that here). And therefore knowing just what this film changed. Which is EVERYTHING.
I’m back! From an incredibly hot drive to the theater, back to the sanctuary of my nice cool bedroom, with Dog Hazel stretched out panting on the floor. Time to start writing some kind of a review of this thing.
This comes right up to the line of acceptable objectification. But I think we are still okay, because it’s not like we are saying anything about their basic bodies, or comparing them with non-muscley guys (Abhishek, you are the best), or even muscle to muscle. Merely in terms of the clothes they have chosen to wear, and the moments they have allowed to be photographed, who is the best?
Happy Friday! I just rapid re-released all my Sanjay posts, I’m driving to work so I can zip home, walk Dog Hazel and then zip out again to catch the Sanju release at the earliest possible show. Busy times! But first I want to take a moment to remember a completely different kind of film that I still think is Ranbir’s best performance.

I have to admit, this is partly because I thought I looked really good in my new dress. Only it didn’t come through as well in video. Curses! Anyway, the content is good and whatever too.
The 4th of July is on a Wednesday this year, so no TGIF. But I couldn’t forgo this post, especially since there are updates to it for this year, so I am putting it up early. And sneaking it out mid-afternoon on a Thursday, hoping that it doesn’t permenantly damage my brand. Whatever, it’s a long week, sometimes you can’t wait until Friday!
It’s hot, the week isn’t over yet, and I am trying to avoid starting Sacred Games (it’s just SO BIG. I’m hoping if I carry it around with me everywhere, I can read it by osmosis). So, let’s have a totally frivolous and silly discussion!
